The Word - Fucker

I've got a question to native English speakers. Do you consider the word "fucker" as insulting? If I said you nasty fucker or you bad fucker or you cyber fucker would you feel good or insulted? Thx for the opinions in advance.

It's not black and white, it can be playful or it can be insulting. It's circumstantial based on what the context is and, most importantly, who you're talking to.

I think most of the people here wouldn't be offended by it, but you never know who has a sandy vagina.

Not sure what the use you were think of is, but probably best not to use it if you think it may be questionable.

I wanted to know if this would mean similar phrase to "Bad Mother Fucker" and use it to call my fellow webmasters and myself like that.. :pimp

I usually refer to my family and friends with the nickname "Fucker".

zurc-net 02-21-2010 04:40 PM

I call people a fucker all the time, usually fucking around, calling someone a fucker when angry just sounds retarded, maybe with mother in the front it's a little better.

But yeah, when fucking around with friends / family or anyone for that matter, "you fucker" is okay. Now other peoples opinions may differ as many people have sticks so far up their ass it's hard for them to find any humor in life.

It could be insulting. Unless it's being to mean "person that has sex."

Riffhard 02-21-2010 05:24 PM

Fuck can pretty much substitute for any other word in the English language.

Bird 02-21-2010 06:32 PM

I am a motherfucker

Bird 02-21-2010 06:33 PM

I greet all my fiends like "Wut up fucker"

AtlantisCash 02-21-2010 07:01 PM

im not a native English speaker, but i wouldn't care, if that has been meant to me, it's freedom of speach anyways :)

PornMD 02-21-2010 07:40 PM

It's all about context and tone. "You're such a swell guy" could be an insult if it's said sarcastically, and "You fucking piece of shit" could simply be playful jest.

Thx for the info guys and girls. So, I think it should be all alright to use this word. :D

tranza 02-22-2010 09:35 AM

I'm always offended when I hear swearing in public. Not insulted, just offended that someone would be so inconsiderate of others. They are called "bad" and "swear" words for that reason. I've fired employees for being seemingly unable to control what comes out of their mouths in public.

With a close group I wouldnt mind, although I dont generally use them myself except in print.
