GFY should make the login
 

Is it only myself or do other get pissed off with doing a job, maybe cutting, editing, camshow or even just speaking to your partner & already being logged out?

Is there anyway that GFY could make it possible to stay logged in for at least 20mins? :2 cents:

I logged in last year and haven't been logged out yet.

EDIT: Did you click the little "remember me" checkbox or whatever it's called?

Use firefox and click the little "save password" button. Never am I kicked off and can enjoy gfy 24 hours each day never having to input a single password

The only really shitty thing is for people who have used my generated RSS feed to browse this subforum.

I've already looked into it, but due to the md5 hashing in javascript and other wonkiness through these latest not-quite-right (such as posting to a url with a get request) patches in VB, it's not very feasible for me to attempt to rewrite it to generate my data using cookies and cURL, so they've pretty much killed that.

Im on google peeps, stange but true. I dont think I ever was asked if I wanted to store password for this forum?>?? Why, Im not understanding, but I dont think I have!

Ill have to look into storing it as I very much get pissed off with logging in every time I come back to GFY..... Thx for the reminder.

This started happening to me as well since a couple of days ago. If I close the browser I have to log in again. Previously I'd been logged in permanently since 2003 :)

If you're using FF, Check your privacy settings' cookie settings.

If you're going to gfy.com, try instead going to www.gfy.com.
Several plugins, .htaccess configurations, etc. share the same bug which kills
PHP sessions and cookies if you don't use www, or if you do - depending on
exactly how it set up.

Note to developers:
It's called $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'], damn it! Use it! But only if you have some
legitimate reason for using a fully qualified URL in the first place.

I don't even think I know what my password is anymore.
