Windows 7 Blue Screens

Hey guys, long time no speak! Just wanted to share an experience in case it helped anyone else. I installed Windows 7 the week it came out (yeah, I know - IDIOT! Wait for SP1!) and it sure as heck kicked the hell out of Vista. It seems Windows gets every other OS right. Anyway, after a couple months I suddenly started getting blue screens several times a day. I spent a couple weeks searching high and low to find out that it was actually the latest update to Zone Alarm that caused it. Killed ZA and suddenly all is well...

Well, almost. Firefox started locking up the computer completely, but that seems okay since I updated to 3.6. Growing pains...

Anyway, if anyone else is getting killed by inexplicable blue screens, it may be ZA (assuming you use it).

You must feel fucking retarded for using ZA in the first place.

babebuns 02-18-2010 05:24 PM

STOP BUYING CRAP PC's!!!!

Put Win 7 on a fucking Mac and you will be thanking yourself for years.

(Better yet, use OS X and cum daily for your decision).

And babebuns - Actually I'm from 1996.

I've read recently that Microsoft confessed there was a rootkit in some windows updates.

The Windows built-in firewall is sufficient.

Like 'crack' is "sufficient".

The Blue Screens of Death are bad. Beware.

Am running Window 7 since last october and I'm very happy with it.
Can go back to XP after that. 64bits hardware are there since a decade...
About time a good piece of 64bits OS.

Have try Ubunto before buying Window 7, terrible piece of junk...
Can't play a single tube movie without lagging.
And yes I had my video card driver properly installed.

I am willing to bet 3 of my balls that that's a hardware issue and has nothing to do with Windows 7

I concur.

Been running Windows 7 Ultimate BETA on a $299 Acer laptop (dual core, 1GB RAM, 120 GB HD) from a month after it was released and have used it extensively, even in numerous live presentation environments.

Not a single problem.

Umm yeah but I already said it was just because there is an issue when using Zone Alarm with W7. I posted just to let anyone know who might be having the same problems and couldn't figure it out.

Firefox is bloated crap now. Check out Google Chrome.
