I've got this 1 PSD that's throwing an error

"Could Not Complete Your Request Because Of A Program Error"

When I'm trying to open it up. Other PSD's both older and newer work fine... Any ideas?

could be. I've never had this problem before, but I did have compatibility problems with older versions of other adobe software.

Yeah he has an older version than I do but this is just one of a ton of PSD's both newer and older that's acting like this.

When you say something is fucked up with the layers is there something specific I should be asking him about?

No guarantees ... but see what happens.

What's up JD? What format is the file under? I'm assuming .PSD. This has happened to me several times. There is a few things that can be done, and it might possible fix it. First off, try restarting PhotoShop. Better off, just restart your computer, open PS, and see if it works. If not, then I would say that the actual file is screwed up. Tell him to copy over all the layers to a new document and when he save the psd file to name it anything, but to make sure it does say .psd after it. That is key. Saving it as "whatever.psd" instead of having photoshop automatically add .psd when you save it could be causing the error. Tell him to rar it up and send it over, and see if it works for you.

Added: Also, what OS are you on and what OS is he on? That problem happens a lot when you cross over to another OS.

bit depth may be an issue, photoshop CS1 and older will not open a 32 bit anything.

created with an older PS version?
