Smoking in the office?

Hi guys, Im wondering if any of the smokers amongst you, no matter your jobs & careers smoke while working. Especially if you have your own office, studio, lorry, car etc etc & use it for work as a professional business.

Im wondering if its against the law for myself to smoke in my office in my home since the goverment bought in the "No smoking" rules in public & work places.
If Im sorting out the lighting in my studio the night before the models are due to arrive, I enjoy a ciggarette as I work.

How is it for you in the UK? Whats the U.S rules & other parts of the world for smoking in work?

When I am in Sweden I smoke "with caution" or I will have to run a gauntlet (or burn at the stake).....

Is there no smoking anywhere or just not workplaces & public places in Sweden then?

if you have employees working there, it could be an issue but otherwise, no.

In privately owned companies ppl do whatever they want, but its prohibited (totally) in hospitals, schools and similar. In some cases you are not paid for your smoking pauses, and in some cases you are simply not allowed to smoke during business hours.

Quite frankly its better to do what junkies do - hide and then enjoy the puff. This is the reason I love spain so much - there is still some freedom left, not meaning the freedom of smoking wherever I want to, but rather free from prejudice.

I smoke and I hate the smell of it lingering in a room,I smoke outside even at home

BIGTYMER 02-15-2010 09:20 PM

I smoke but never inside. I go out to the patio, backyard or frontyard to smoke.
