New Jersey just legalized medical marijuana. The law for use is limited to certain illnesses. Currently if you have multiple sclerosis, cancer, glaucoma, epilepsy, Crohn's disease, AIDS, muscular dystrophy and Lou Gehrig's disease you can get a prescription for medical weed.
We need some Californian people over here, to help us navigate the legal waters and have a more open policy about marijuana. |
Cali people wouldn't last a week in NJ.
|
Watched a little of the video . . . are you telling me your people handle the weed with their bare hands? No concern for people that may actually be using it as a medication?
|
bump for meds

bump for og kush

Why not bump your thread with an answer to my question?

That was a joke, right? There's so many Cali people in Jersey that I could have sworn I seen an LAPD squad car patrolling Newark... |
Why are some Medical Marijuana Dispensaries run by people that look and act like Pot heads?:disgust
If Pro Marijuana people would look a little professional the lawmakers might take them more seriously.:2 cents: |
Just watched to live stream, I see dirty hands all over the patients medicine and no patients "Right of Privacy"? So a guy has aids and needs Medical Marijuana so they put him on a live stream? Now the California law makers can watch this stream and see what a joke these places are.

I'm with Baddog on this one ... I'm disgusted by this fat fuck on the live cam, openly smoking a joint while handling meds. And his "KH" medallion is a joke ... these are the kinds of retards who fuck it up for everyone else.

hey saltricter you got icq/aim?

Maryland (where I am) has it where a doctor can write a prescription so you can possess it (still have to procure on street, I guess ... law doesn't specify procurement and I haven't researched it) but has nothing else. I go back to my pain doctor on Thursday and hate having to be on opiates. I've always been afraid to address the marijuana prescription thing because its still taboo here. BUT, since my problems are ALL Crohn's Disease related and it's one of the very few reasons it's been approved for NJ, I am going to have a serious talk on Thursday. Thanks for the post! |

Learn from what Cali did. Stand and fight. It is our right to safe, natural, and effecgive medicine that fuels this war. NEVER RELENT. |

I would never go to this guys place, even if it was the last one open. :2 cents: |
What exactly would gloves do? It's not like that shit hasn't been handled already.
|
It's become obvious that this is one of the places that will ultimately be shut down when they get licensing in order.
When was the last time a pharmacy had "Click to Download the Mix CD" on their homepage along with the pharmacist on stikcam smoking a joint and chatting with 15 y/o's? The poster about medical privacy laws also made a valid point. This is a major HIPAA violation. Way to one day fuck it up for others... Disgusting. |

You're only as strong as your weakest link. Sour grapes can spoil the whole bunch. They're already looking at cracking down. Such a crackdown would entangle the people that are doing things correctly. Everyone would end up losing. I'm only concerned with the broadcast. I'd be equally upset if CVS started broadcasting me rolling up and getting my other meds. |

everybody knows the medicalism is a pretense. is it some sort of surprise to you? maybe fox news will take up your cause. "Pornseller mad because potsellers don't use gloves". |

You are better off arguing tax revenue and harm reduction, than claiming "it's about medical compassion", when the lawmakers come knocking. If you are pinning your hopes on medicalism, good luck. |

So fucking sick of people wanting weed legalized. Am I like the only pothead on earth who wants things to stay the way they are? I'm so fucking tired of all the stoners and their "it's the miracle medicine" or "it's a health choice". No motherfucker, it is not. If it has it's medical implications fine, I hope they find them and exploit them to their fullest for mankind's gain, but enough with the fucking "legalize for medicine" bullshit, fuck it's getting tiring. Especially when the arguement is constantly coming from early 20 something individuals hitting their bong and playing nintendo.
Note: I'm all for hitting the bong and playing Nintendo, just don't come preaching the virtues of marijuana to me for christ sake. It's a recreational drug that fucks you up, enjoy it and stfu. |

not sure what the point is of the live cam, can't even tell which dispensary it is, it is NOT the "house of kush" though, which is top-notch!

Have you ever been to a dispensary? Have you ever been able to touch a bud before purchase? Sick people do go to these places. They do not need some guy handling cash then touching their buds. At least give the impression that you are trying to help. The video is a ridiculous concept at this stage in the game. They are trying to shut shit down in LA and he comes up with this? Good thinking. If and when they legalize it for the cash (taxes), then full steam ahead. |
I let the video run for a few minutes, and I gotta agree that what I see seems more like going to a drug dealer than a pharmacy. :1orglaugh

I have never smoked pot, but you can be damn sure that I will, if I get glaucoma or cancer. I'm glad that I live in California where that would be an option. There are a lot of people who have zero interest in recreational use, but who do care that it be medically available. Do you think that because some people shoot up heroin for recreation, nobody should get opiate-based painkillers after surgery? Do you think the option to prescribe opiate-based painkillers is a "pretense" at "medicalism"? |

The cam is ridiculous, true. I doubt that any real sick people are walking into that dispensary, so I'm also doubting that your argument that sick people could be affected by germs from handling holds water. However, I think your real argument is "let's maintain an appearance of medicalism, so the powers that be don't take this away from us.". I empathize with that argument. I hope they don't take it away. But that cats out of the bag, because people can see that that doctors script is a device used by rich folks to be able to get killer weed. If you can get the dispensary owners to self-regulate better, more power to you. |
Quote:
I'm talking about the pretense of medicalism, not saying anything about wether or not sick people should be able to use grass if it increases their quality of life. |
