XBIZ LA & Awards feedback thread...[attendees, need you inside!]
I'd like to start off by thanking all of you who spent the time, money and energy to come out to our events - without you, they wouldn't exist.
Also, a huge thanks to our 2010 sponsors for their unprecedented support this year - without them, it would have been the Holiday Inn and chocolate chip cookies for lunch. Based on the feedback we received, it'd be safe to say that most of you took notice of our efforts and the changes this year - but as always, there's plenty of room for improvement. So, pls post your comments in this thread and let us know what you expect from us come 2011. Thanks again for coming. :) |
Where is the list of winners for 2010 ?
|
The nightmare it is flying into the US kept me far FAR away :(
|
Excellent show, one of the best ever!
|
Yes, i agree that it was one of the best shows... great work to you and the team and thank you for your support as well!

The show was great. By far the best ever Xbiz show to date. I am already looking forward to 2011.
|
I agree, I think it was the best XBiz show yet. Great attendance and line up. The hotel was a great choice too.
|
What a great show!
The venue was beautiful with extremely helpful staff and centrally located and the food was amazing - Thank you for the luncheons BTW! The seminars were informative and most I saw were full houses. Big thanks to Moe, Kristen and company as well for all their hard work as usual! :thumbsup |
Another successful Xbiz Event. You should be proud of your team. Not an easy event to pull off and you guys did it again without a glitch.
Great job everyone at Xbiz! |
I agree with D-$. I didnt stay at the show hotel but from what I saw I liked alot better:thumbsup and Moe doing an amazing job as always. Great XBiz overall!
|
I already stated how I feel...
http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=952987 Awesome show: met people, got caught up with old people, made deals, learned something, taught something, ate good, drank good, and fucked a super hot porn chick in less than 45 minutes. From every level: A+++ Might have been my favorite xbiz ever. |
I think this year, as a sponsor AND as an attendee, was absolutely great! I met pretty much everyone I wanted to meet, went to good seminars that were pretty darn full - some actually over filled - and the spread of the social aspects of this seminar was balanced.
I have a couple suggestions that I can take up with you privately that I think will make the show impeccable next year. All in all - 9 out of a 10 in my book! :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup |

Just got back this afternoon, the show was great one of the best in a while ! The great vibe of business being done, carried on tru the show floor.
The hotel was great, the lunches the best I have had at a show. One thing that could use some improvement, is the Awards, they need some streamlining. I know they were better than last year, but there is still lot of room for improvement.:2 cents: |
Hi Alec,
I wanted to say this was a fantastic show. I haven't been to an XBiz in a few years now and thought this show was really amazing. From higher than expected attendence numbers, to a first class hotel to all the great parties and ceremonies, it really set the bar high for other competing shows. We didn't get much of a chance to talk but I did want to say thank you to you and to the other event organizers for putting on a fantastic event. Thank you. Sincerely, Charles |
Best show for biz ever... at least for me. I could hardly get to the seminars I was in so many meetings.
There is little I would change. Congrats to Moe on a great awards show... as well as D$ for the Players Ball... |
loved the show! it was as good, if not better then the 1st xbiz show.
lots of new faces too. the venue was amazing, food was incredible, seminars were actually interesting and the overall event was well worth attending... Unfortunately, can't really say the same for the last Internext. Definitely shows that Xbiz is listening to the webmasters and really trying to put on a show that pleases everyone. Great Job... Alec, Moe, Kristen and the rest of the XBIZ TEAM! |
Great show, a lot of new faces and a lot of decision makers that you usually don't see at the other shows. I got a ton of business done there.:pimp
I still prefer the Roosevelt for the size of the meeting rooms, but I cant argue with success.:thumbsup |
Great show with a turnout that I was impressed with. The hotel choice was great because it was a great size hotel that every attendee was at either bar. The seminars that I did attend were very helpful and informative. They had several sofa's throughout the hotel to sit down and have private meetings which I found very helpful. I look forward to the next xbiz show. Thanks Moe and Kristen!

The show was excellent.
Somehow many people even local in LA, did not make it, or didn't know whether they should have made it.. thus i think some better marketing next time should help with even a bigger turnout. Speednetworking was great.. however it causes you to lose voice first day of the show.. maybe some better format for that in the future? Maybe limit the amount of billing companies attending speed networking by having them sign up in advance :) cuz it seemed like 1/2 the people were doing billing :) The only thing that was a downer for me was the Awards.. but this was my first award attendance, and i just wasn't impressed.. |
Really great show Alec! Cool hotel, wonderful food, great seminars, and fun awards show! Congrats to you, Moe, Kristen, and everyone at XBIZ for putting together another fantastic event! :thumbsup
|
Alec,
I've heard nothing but rave reviews regarding the show and kudo's to xbiz for putting on a terrific performance. Also, thanks for allowing us to showcase our stuff and educate webmasters and partners on the potential of the adult mobile market. Great stuff and you should all be very proud! :thumbsup -L |
All I can say is we are glad we made the trip :thumbsup
Great show & turn out!! |
We have put this show on our next year calendar. Great to hear positive feedback..
|
great show.. great hotel (great service), great coordination by XBIZ team!
Last but not least... we had a lot of people thanked us for the Luncheons.. so thank you for offering us that sponsorship! ;) |
Excellent show! The hotel was in a great location and was exactly the right size for a convention like ours. The seminars were packed and the product demos were really interesting!
I think everyone can agree the vibe was very different from other shows and it really feels like the adult industry is picking up steam again. Kudos to Xbiz! |
I thought this was an incredibly well-presented show, Alec, and commend you and the entire xBiz staff for a fantastic job.
There are very few things I would change, though one is the actual awards ceremony - Avalon is lovely, but awkwardly laid out, with large swaths of space going unused, difficult traffic patterns, and our many, many industry friends who smoke being relegated to an alleyway. Secondarily, I'd like to see some time for change-over between panels/ presentations/ etc. Scheduling them back to back made for some awkward transitions. |
As usual Xbiz did a great job. I liked the venue, but I think it was almost too good. All the locals need to stick around more. I suggest putting a shock collar on every attendee that goes off if they drift more than 1000ft from the venue.

All the pics from the show are up on FUBAR:thumbsup

i had a great experience.
it's nice to know i don't have to leave l.a. ever again to go to shows. between webmaster access and xbiz l.a. i am happy. with so much time to dedicate to working like i used to in the early 2000's, i personally don't want to go to 5-8 shows a year like i used to. 1 or 2 shows a year is fine with me now. phoenix is also way up there. may have to go out there, but other than that, i don't enjoy traveling like i used to. i had a great time presenting with kristin. the xbiz awards were fun. on a scale of 10, I give it a solid 8. FYI, the Beverly Center saves that Hotel. simon's was not good at all and the hotel had nothing but room service a lot of the time, BUT thanks to the plethora of restaurants at the BC, this was over ruled. |
congrats on a successful event!
|
Alec,
I am not stretching when I say this was one of the best shows we have ever been to. Your team did an incredible job and the awards show was amazing too and flowed very nicely. I have made other posts about how good it was so I will not elaborate here you certainly hit a home run this time. |
