American chopper - its over

so the last to last episode of american chopper aired tonight.

i was really sad, for 2 reasons...

it was my favorite show last decade. the story of a small iron working business turned chopper producer turned national celebrities was an amazing story, the thing that makes america great. The story inspires me in my bouncing boob endeavors, that an average dude can make a great business & achieve the american dream.

but why im really sad is the way it ended. They simply ran just another episode: produce a bike, deliver it to client, end of series. I know the family had their problems & split up. But the producers could have at least sent off the show with a "best of" finale, or a wrap up with a big splash, not just another bike delivery.

I was left longing for something greater then a flaccid ending to a great series.

So long paul tuttle.

96ukssob 02-11-2010 09:03 PM

that was a pretty decent show, but got boring quickly. there was no story line behind it and i think the discovery channel (or whomever broadcasts it) just wanted it for the "reality" tv craze.

some of those guys are skilled, but the have to be making mad $$$ now from the publicity... just like west coast customs

MrMaxwell 02-11-2010 09:10 PM

I don't think that they were Tuttle

Thay had a good run,the ego's couldn't make it work, didn't know the old man was 25 years sober

BV 02-11-2010 09:46 PM

I used to love that show in the beginning.
I got a chance to party with Mikey & Campos in 2003 or 2004 during Spring Break.
I made sure they had front stage row seats :-)

Mikey was pretty cool and down to earth.

i just wish sr would have been cooler with his success...

the dynamics of sr., jr, and mikey made the show...

without them together the show was shit...

.

BIGTYMER 02-11-2010 11:16 PM

I'm sad to see it over... I never missed an episode. Fucking sr. ruined the show with his undiagnosed depression.

yuu.design 02-12-2010 11:06 AM

i love this show!

Dirty Lord 02-12-2010 11:09 AM

finally, i dont like this program

Tom_PM 02-12-2010 11:13 AM

I really have to agree with marketsmart on this one. Senior never bent an inch for anyone else that I could see. Now I'm not saying he HAD to, I'm saying he made his choices and it became more and more difficult to watch.

Shingling Vinnies house was nice. But you know what would have been nicer? Paying him a giant sum of money to stay and be the star of the show with Paul Jr and Rick. Those 3 were fun to watch as they worked with some metal soundtrack running. Mikey was fun to watch back then too.

I dont give a shit about some giant behemoth shop. The interaction of those original workers was why I watched back then, and stopped when it got too "tv".

tranza 02-12-2010 11:15 AM

American Chopper is awesome..

dyna mo 02-12-2010 11:17 AM

i wish OCC luck in their future endeavours, the show has been fun to watch over the years and it has also brought much attention and new riders to the motorcycling world, all good.

Jensen 02-12-2010 11:55 AM

still enjoying an episode here and there but not following the seasons. How long had it been on?

will try to watch it

Si 02-12-2010 12:01 PM

I don't think they could have stretched it out any further, this last series was shit.

The only one worth watching is Mikey, they should give him his own he's a character :thumbsup

ajrocks 02-12-2010 12:04 PM

That father was a real asshole, he'll drop dead of a heart attack soon.

Dubba 02-12-2010 12:38 PM

not too much of a show.but I'm european so..it's like another race.all there in the business work with a D day?what is that?!:)tomorrow the bike have to be done.but we don't have a seat to go with the bike!no problem,Paul here will pimp the ride imediatly.OOOoo,what a nice bike, little different than the project but who cares!!

poncabare 02-12-2010 12:53 PM

biker build off was much better IMO, the family drama seemed scripted to me

KILL_FRENZY 02-12-2010 01:26 PM

Yeah, that's the thing about endings: they come...at the end

Horny Joe 02-12-2010 01:35 PM

Anyone got their bike there? Guess some of you have the $$$$$ to buy there :D

WebCashMaker 02-12-2010 09:49 PM

I stopped watching when Vinnie left.

AFSC 02-12-2010 11:48 PM

I use to watch the show back when they had the tiny little garage. Miss those days. Too commercialized. Loved the Black Widow bike.

SinisterStudios 02-13-2010 06:33 AM

Thanks god its over, now we bikers can get back to normal. I was so sick of people asking me "Do you watch American Chopper" Like bikers care about those fuckers, it was all for the RUB's

hotcontent 02-13-2010 11:44 AM

I'm sad. I've always liked this show. :(

gandalfuy 02-13-2010 02:07 PM

It was good for a while, but I lost interest and didn't watch the final season.

geirlur 06-28-2010 10:54 AM

They are back!

TLC is reviving "American Chopper" -- with the estranged Teutuls going head-to-head in competing bike shops.

The new show, "American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior," begins filming next week and will premiere in August.

It focuses both on the original Orange County Choppers business run by Paul Sr., and Paul Jr.'s startup bike shop.

The new shop, Paul Jr. Designs, is located across from the original OCC shop in Rock Tavern, NY, near OCC's Newburgh site.

The hook? Father and son haven't spoken in over a year, ever since Senior fired Junior from the family business.

scarlettcontent 06-28-2010 11:07 AM

love American chopper will be watching the re-runs :thumbsup

JFK 06-28-2010 11:40 AM

I watched a few episodes at random, wasnt too impressed with all the bitching back n forth:2 cents:

docputer 06-28-2010 11:48 AM

This is typical TV hype, they have talked recently. Paul Sr, Paul Jr, and Mikey appeared in Kansas City recently(December) when they opened an OCC themed restaurant. While they were not hugging each other or anything, they seemed to be cordial to one another.

czarina 06-28-2010 12:09 PM

there's only so much drama you can spin off a bike business.

dallasnovelty 06-28-2010 12:12 PM

I'm watching American Chopper right now lol they are building the Giants bike

baddog 06-28-2010 12:15 PM

Typical reality show. Far from reality. And personally, I thought their bikes sucked. Never saw one that was road worthy.

Marcus Aurelius 06-28-2010 12:18 PM

what a fucking borefest

i cant imagine what kind of retard you have to be to watch it

Smiley 06-28-2010 02:55 PM

10mins of bike...50mins of drama kings

thank god this show is over...never was a fan...dad was an asshole, kid was a fool and just milked daddy & big bros success...this show was about as entertaining as paint drying

AdPatron 06-28-2010 03:02 PM

Finally, it's over. It went down hill really fast.
