Quick Nats Link Code Question
Can you link to any page on a nats paysite as long as you use the link code on the tour.. for example
http://join.cutecristina.com/track/NzQwNjg3OjQ6Mzg/ when you go to the site the link code to the join page is http://join.cutecristina.com/signup/...0,0,0,0&step=2 So can I use the join link directly and get credited for sales? |
No, your traffic has to pass through /track
However, you can use http://join.cutecristina.com/track/NzQwNjg3OjQ6Mzg/join (appending 'join' on the end) http://wiki.toomuchmedia.com/index.php/Deep_Linking |
thanks for letting me know

Affiliates can link to any other page on your site by appending a forward-slash and a relative URL to the link code. For example, using the following linkcode to link to http://example.com/tour1.html:
http://join.example.com/track/MjozOjE/tour1.html |
Nikkay and John beat me to it.
|
What nikkay said. You can link to any part of a tour by appending the rest of the URL.
ie. tour URL: http://join.scoreland.com/track/MTAw...yOS4wLjAuMC4w/ ie. link to a model specific page: http://join.scoreland.com/track/MTAw...ames-6318.html |
So can I get a confirmation here that you don't in fact get credit for sales if you link to a link looking like this: http://join.cutecristina.com/signup/...0,0,0,0&step=2
You get no credit unless the url involves a /track/ ?? if this is the case I'm getting really pissed cause I have linked like that for years and program owners have told me It's ok. |
If you do not use the /track/ urls, your nats code will still passed through the tours and join pages and you will credit for that visitor. However, /track/ sets the cookie & does the unique/raw tracking so you will miss out on that.
whoever told you that, either did not know how tracking codes work OR didn't care enough to explain this. |
