What are the requirements for registering a .us TLD domain?
 
What are the requirements for registering a .us TLD domain? I just registered one, but, after googling it, I'm not sure I understand the extra requirements or how one proves them.

the only requirement is that you be a US citizen.

That's what I thought, but then Moniker was asking me questions like am I a citizen and what is the domain for and there was a screen saying I couldn't choose for-profit if I selected citizen, so I chose US office, which is also true, but seems roundabout.

Ah, yeah. I forgot about those questions. I don't think it really matters what you say as long as the address you use is real.
