Honest Truth...Do you think this shit is Played Out?
Ed Hardy Clothing.
http://www.raininghollywood.com/imag...ize_medium.jpg First the Von Dutch, now this. Who still wears this stuff? No offense if you do. :( I know some clubs in LA were banning guys from coming in the door if they had Ed Hardy clothing on. |
must be a west coast thing
|
Played out at least a year ago.
|
Beyond played out. It's like wearing a sign that says "I'm a douche"
Funny thing is, I counted 6 people wearing the tees at the mall just about a week ago. |
They seem to be a mainstay for the cast of Jersey Shore, so I'd say yes.
|
its about as played out as troop, cross colours, 555soul, dada... the list goes on

The CIA is going to start forcing people to wear that shit in public since they can't waterboard anymore.
|
Who over age 15 would wear that kind of shit?

In fact, the second they started pumping this stuff into discounters like Nordstrom Rack it was played out. But congrats to Ed or Christian or whoever for wringing every dime from the licensing, they actually sell Ed Hardy brand wine at the grocery. WTF? |
Same goes for Affliction T-shirts. Please, let it die.
|
Ugly as hell
|
Who is Ed hardy and is he high when he makes this shit.

Affliction, Ed Hardy, Tapout, Extreme Couture all in the douche-bag category no matter who sponsors it.

I'm coming out with a clothing line called Von Douche. I'm going to give away shitloads of the stuff to movie and rock stars and watch the rest of America fall in line once they see Ashton Kutcher wearing my shit.
|
that trend has come and gone

beyond played out
i remember years ago when Von Dutch hats were crazy in style and a store in santa monica was charging $50 or more for each one... every place else was $20 :1orglaugh people will continue to buy out of style clothing and sport it. thats the problem with stupid looking expensive shit is it goes in and out of style so quickly Quote:
|
I wouldn't have ever worn something like that shit in the first place
Fuck that shit |
that is a disgusting shirt - ppl wear that shit???
|
Ed Hardy was played out in 2006.
Affliction is the worst. Nothing says, "I'm a Douchebag" more than an Affliction shirt, which happen to be very popular at Webmaster events. |

Damn, I forgot all about Cross Colours |
still very popular with the models
|
That shit makes me sick.
All the Sailor Jerry stuff is equally as tasteless- especially: http://www.after5catalog.com/cocktai...4/sailor-j.jpg It's all bullshit, the guy didn't even drink. :disgust |
I am wearing my Ed Hardy shirt now
|
Let's see... Doofy looking skulls and overboard tardly graphics... Nope, still in style.
That's what happens when ppl let the TV dress them. :1orglaugh |

It was bound to happen that dude Christian who started it had his shop nextt door to Von Dutch so I guess over the years he must have thought hey look at what people buy... he then just revamped it and came out with Ed Hardy of course the rest is just bad history. |

Personally, I don't care what the brand name or price tag says. I'll wear a t-shirt from Walmart at 10 bucks just as easily as a $100 t-shirt from a known brand. I buy clothes based off if I like the design or not.
That said, I never liked the Ed Hardy design style. I do like some of the Affliction ones I have seen though. I don't get how some people are slaves to fashion though to the point they will spend their last cent to make sure they wear a trendy brand. Take my GF's brother for example, he will pretty much ONLY wear clothes made by American Eagle or Hollister, because that's what the other "trendy" Ticos here in Costa Rica are wearing. Someone needs to tell them those clothes aren't of any quality, look terrible (the majority of their designs I have seen) and aren't even in the elitist price range :winkwink: |

The guy that designed and put out the Ed Hardy shit WAS ALSO responsible for the Von Dutch line while working for someone else.
He decided to take the same concept and repeat it with a different tattoo artist. Seems like it worked in his favor. |
Yeah, Ed Hardy sued him because he realized he was getting fucked on royalties so he just bought some flash off someone else and kept doing the same line only now under the "Christian Audigier" name.
SHUTTER It's not like Ed Hardy's some saint, he gets what he deserves. He's always been 100% for the money, has been willing to put his name on anything since day 1. |
Never heard of it/him whatever. Of course I'm not up to date on every fashion trend. Until Levis stops making jeans I'll just keep on wearing them as I have for the last 30 years.
