Best cartoon ever?

What is the best animated cartoon ever? I'm leaning to Pink Panther or The Simpsons, but could add Ren & Stimpy, Whacky Races, The Flintstones, Top Cat, Family Guy, Dilbert and I'm sure I'm missing something.

what's your choice?

(note: if you're a 14 years old dreaming about Japanese robots, retarded scripts, people with small eyes trauma and cosplay please do not bother post. Go here instead)

The early Ren and Stimpy were the best. After Nickelodeon got involved it went downhill.

Those are all good. But, I think watching those cartoons when I was young messed up some of my development. Because, I got random noises stuck in my head from Simpsons and other cartoons. I just can't get these cartoon noises out of my head, they keep coming back all the time.

Futurama is my favorite, and Family Guy is a close 2nd :thumbsup

PornstarXS 02-08-2010 11:07 PM

as a amateur cartoonist myself i have way too many, nowadays Family Guy is funny for adult gags, and retro references. Spectacular Spider-man is pretty good, x-men and justice league, also i like The Batman for superhero comics. Most of the cartoons nowadays are cheesy, makes these kids soft.

Back in the days we grew up on thundercats, gi joe, voltron, he-man, even she-ra. A time when it was cool to be a hero. Nowadays we have a sponge bob, pokemon, and poor excuses for cartoons. Up here in Canada it's slim pickings for cartoons, the cartoon network is full of garbage filler stuff.

Sometimes a man just wants to watch scooby doo

I loved Dangermouse so much. I thought he was quite popular when we were younger but so few seem to remember him now.

You just hit on almost all my faves growing up. Some of these are still good to watch today, like Thundercats and Voltron, while others, like He-Man, are near unwatchable. Watching original He-Man as an adult was pretty shocking. Lots of loops and re-used footage, lips sync w/ voices like a dubbed kung fu film, etc. In my memory it was epic, I guess our childhood imaginations just filled in the blanks.

Scooby Doo is pretty much alway awesome though. I think this gets my vote :thumbsup

Simpsons, Futurama, Johnny Bravo and Family guy come to mind. Cow & Chicken are demented and somewhat entertaining.

I like Ming The Merciless' robots when they exit the ship, look left then scan to the right.

It sounds like you are about the same age as me so I know this for a fact... Anyone that would mention Voltron instead of Transformers is a fagot.

Don't remember any boobs on transformers :winkwink: Or actually, any female presence for that matter.

I bought the whole series on VHS some years ago before they got released on DVD and wow, it was horrible watching them compared to what I remembered He-Man to be as a kid.

However, the He-Man series from 2002-2003 (39 episodes) is really good, complete with excellent animation.

Then, there is this rarity I don't know if anyone other than myself owns, but it's STRANGE called "The New Adventures of He-Man".
