$500 for using Chrome?

Only if it bugs out! Google's offering a $500 bounty for people who find bugs with Chrome http://blog.chromium.org/2010/01/enc...-security.html

Nice promo but I still won't use it until they get a nice library of add ons going.

They do have a nice library of add ons. It's definitely not Firefox sized, but a lot of nice stuff in there considering extensions haven't been an option in Chrome for long.

They just added plug-ins the other day. I love Chrome. It's quite fast. I realized I wasn't even using most of those Firefox plug-ins anyway.

Chrome still doesn't work right on some login systems, which is annoying, but hopefully they'll get that fixed pretty soon.

Cool. I wanted to ask: Do they have form fillers, do follow, SEO plugins?

dav3 02-06-2010 05:09 PM

Makes me wonder why Google is so horny to get ppl to use their browser.

No but i have begun work on one, I've just been rather busy with Twisty's stuff.
Chrome's extension API is extremely limiting compared to Firefox's so porting it over has proven to be a challenge.

At least their add ons don't come with mal-ware.

Two Firefox add-ons available for months on Mozilla's website infected users with malware that stole passwords and opened a backdoor on Windows machines, the open-source browser maker has confirmed.

The add-ons, available on an experimental section of Mozilla's official add-on download site carried trojans that have been detected since 2008 by commercial anti-virus products. And yet they weren't removed until late January and earlier this week because a scanning tool used to vet add-ons during upload failed to catch the malicious files.

i'd pay $500 for chrome to fuck off and go away. It's one extra browser to test css on :(

Twisted Dave 02-08-2010 05:09 AM

Oh hell, Chrome is easily the best browser on the market :) I'd like it to destroy the rest! :)
