Brittany Murphys Death = Preventable
http://vk.se/uploaded/image/2010/2/4/br.jpg
Sources involved in Brittany Murphy's autopsy tell TMZ her death was "preventable." Sources say the primary causes of Murphy's death were pneumonia and severe anemia. L.A. County Coroner officials believe Brittany's condition was "treatable" but no one took her to the hospital in time. :Oh crap As for the multiple drugs found in her system, we're told they were both prescription, including medicine for cramps, and over-the-counter medications, including cough syrup. Our sources say the drugs "pushed her over the line" but the underlying problems were the pneumonia and anemia. In other words, Brittany was really sick, didn't get treatment and by self-medicating it pushed her over the line. Source:tmz.com |
That sucks, but it's also hard to force someone to get treatment or help unless they decide to for themselves. Trust me on that one.
Someone would have to have literally picked her up and kidnapped her to the hospital, and even family or friends tend to not go to those extremes. |

I dont disagree with the sentiment at all. I just wonder if anyone close to her had witnessed how bad off she was in time to do that, or if she was combative or telling them she was fine.

i love this girl :(

her suitcase pimp husband is an idiot.
he's suing w-b saying she died due to their not picking her for a part. |

A lot of deaths are preventable so what's new? Like last year's biggest high profile celeb death of them all Michael Jackson. |
What a beautiful face...

http://www.thegiant.org/wiki/images/...ny_Clifton.jpg I have an original Andy Lives set by Shepard Fairey. I wonder what they're worth now... Anyway, back on topic. I'm all for privacy but in this case I'd really like to know more about exactly what the triggers were. You wouldn't think it would be possible, but you can have pneumonia and just think it's a bad chest cold. I've done it, and it's not because I'm a cheap or lazy bastard, I just really thought I was going to get better "any day now". As someone who has borderline anemia this is also is of particular interest to me. Was it just the anemia or were there other deficiencies as well? Additionally one of the meds she was taking, topamax, is something they've been trying to get me on to prevent my migraines. So as someone with a blood / iron deficiency, if I was to give in and take the topamax does that mean I might drop one day if I catch pneumonia? There's gotta be something else in the mix. If this is a danger I want to know. :helpme |
Crappy situation. She was a cute girl.

She was a great girl but nobody can force someone to seek medical attention, especially if the symptoms are suppressed to the level of a 'bad cold' by all of the medications they are taking (meaning that there was no reason to force them to seek medical attention, either). It is also quite obvious that LA law enforcement was looking to pin this on the husband (since he was quite standoffish within the investigation). I wonder if this is how it happens?
