Heres a Tip For Wordpress Users Running WP Tube Sites
 

If you are thinking about changing your wp tube theme for a different one ...dont do it

I spent 3 days getting mine sorted and trying to get it to work again

After pulling my hair out wondering why I couldent post embeded FLVs and pictures after installing the the tube theme out of shear frustration I contacted my host they tried all manner of things and couldent get it working either I then started to talk to Si on ICQ and to the guys who wrote the theme. It was when SI had a look at it and realised what the problem was. I imported the xml file from the old theme with all of my old posts and it had different custom fields to the new theme ..What a twat I was... It was the one thing I did not look at... So thanks Si and thanks to the WPtube guys and remember check your custom fields if you are importing your old posts via xml.

I also had to change all the post fields on every post ..not fun at all.. Im never gona do that again

Run a search and replace on the db and just replace all the custom field names.

It was my own stupitity to be honest ..but you live and learn with wordpress

Yeah, when I converted to that theme, I had to dump 900 posts and start from scratch because there was no way in hell I was doing all that mess manually.

Should have used theme tester before switching

I dident realy have the option as that site got hacked awhile ago and after that all the permalinks were wrong. Google fucked it as well after it was hacked and it went from a pr3 to a pr2 then to a pr0 and I lost around 400uv a day from google search engine traffic.
