Final Cut Pro Express question
i have an HD camera, and i would prefer to mount it on my tripod, and rotate it 90 degrees so that the video is tall (when viewed on playback, video would look sideways).
i need the height, and can't get it by zooming in. if i shoot the video sideways, can i load it into FCP such that i create a non-standard size like 200x500 and then rotate/resize the video so that it was this size? on export to like .FLV, would the players be able to playback a non-standard size? Your final player can be whatever dimensions you want. You're fine.

the interface isn't as intuitive as image programs. i was looking to start new project, set the H=200 W=500 then load up the clip. rotate the video. scale/crop to the output size. edit the video, then render. if FCP can do the above, then i can go shoot my video and then figure it out later (or can follow any posted pointers). correction:
w = 200 H = 500 |
