Liverpool for sale
yes ... and soon other PL teams will be for sale.
Fans' group the Spirit of Shankly claims Christian Purslow has told them Tom Hicks and George Gillett must sell Liverpool because "they are out of money". Purslow allegedly made the comments during a meeting with the SoS when he supposedly told them that the Americans would be going because of the club's £237million debts. PL the best league in the world? For sure the one with the most teams close to bankruptcy.... |
English teams have been living waaaaaay beyond their means for years now. They have nobody to blame but themselves.
Shitty players from the Championship (league 2) were going for £8million etc. Stupid! So they can't moan about running out of money. It's been coming for years... |
the sub-top teams borrowed and borrowed and borrowed it was the only way they could keep up with chelsea and man-u who are afluent teams - the only way they could contend the top spot was by borrowing, the teams at the bottom are having an even harder team keeping up as they are all borrowed out, no fucker will give them money, portsmouth cant even pay their players!..

I watched Man Utd vs Man City (Carling Cup) and Villa vs Arsenal (Premiership) last week at the same time on massive 40'' tv's in Tenerife - kicked ass really did.
Some nigerian bloke came up to me during the match selling sunglasses and fake watches - I offered him 5 euros for this fake Rolex watch (really good fake Rolex) this dude kept badgering me for 25 minutes. Arsenal vs Man Utd on Sunday was class, really enjoyed that match - free flowing footy. |
Man U were fine (in fact alot better than fine) until the Americans came in a saddled them with their own debt.
I think most big European teams have been living past their means, not just the English teams. Real Madrid this past summer?! You think they're operating on a profit?!!? |
I guess there are only so many Russian and Arab millionaires, correction billionaires to go round.
I think some of this could be sorted if the wages went down, but I dont think any team would be willing to make the first move |
Good luck!!
