Destination unknown (pics)

I have not been home on a Sunday in what seems like forever, so I was really glad when it rolled around today. The fact that none of my usual riding partners were not available today was actually a good thing. When I ride by myself I have no rules, no destination. I kind of like that.

Usually, when I am by myself I ride up into the mountains / hills and try to find somewhere I haven't been in a long time, if ever. Today was no exception. I had a blast.

No one we know . . . . I don't think. I just happened to find the place when I was out riding. It is hard to say how high these guys were getting because they were up higher than me to start off with, but I have to guess some were getting 15' or better.

I had my helmet cam on today so I got a couple of these guys when I first pulled in and when I left. I will put some vids up later. Kind of beat right now.

How can you title a thread "destination unknown", and then NOT have the sexiest pop video ever made (other than Duran Duran's "Girls on Film")

Thread fixed :thumbsup

Great photos. Nice looking bike too.

Looks like fun I miss riding a few hundred miles through the desert on the weekend. Nothing like a good motorcycle ride to nowhere

Scott McD 02-01-2010 09:54 AM

Nice scenery.

Reminds me of many places here actually. You'd probably like riding around here, well further up the Highlands from here anyway...

LBrownco needs to mount his camera and stop jiggling it the fuck around, gives me motion sickness!

Check out Ghostrider for some neat camera work.

The camera is mounted. You think I am holding it in my hand or something? I wonder how big the camera in Ghostrider is. :1orglaugh

Your camera is all over the place, I honestly thought you were holding it LOL.

Perhaps you haven't seen ghostrider's footage, it's not a movie! Here ya go:

imo, it's the front fender that makes this bike work.

that and no license plate!

lolz

Please tell me you are kidding. You are comparing 5 minutes of non-stop shooting to a bunch of 3 second clips edited together? :1orglaugh

License plate is there, right behind the primary cover. It folds in. Perfect for those special situations you may sometimes find yourself in.

You can see it here

CunningStunt 02-02-2010 04:06 PM

I'm just saying look at how solid the camera work is on-bike, not the rest of that shiz.

Your camera is pointing left and right and all over the shop. You should mount the camera on your bike rather than your head LOL.

You do realize there is a reason why it is called a "helmet cam," right? There is probably a very good reason why they only use clips of a few seconds each.
