Depends on what you want to do... I agree, the days of setting up a one page adult site and making thousands is long over... good riddance. Just wish I had jumped in at that time.. but oh well.

This thread is total bullshit anybody who owns or runs a adult site whether it's just a string of blogs or whatever no matter how small chump change they make from promoting programs or a paysite belongs on this or any of the many adult webmaster forums in existence currently. That is the point of them in the first place and if there are so many newbies here without a adult site of any sorts they may well be tomorrow's next successful adult webmaster who knows!

the big companies did all the carding that is squeezing the little guys out, thats about it LOL

tubes = easy money.

those that bitch about the hosting costs aren't selling pre-paid ad spots that cover the cost of hosting. The conversions on tubes are pretty damn good if you do a good job with the download full video links that go to the sponsor page, highlight trial prices and surround the videos with sponsor banners that convert.

Plus, Google LOVES tubes.

I'm sure you got it, but I was being sarcastic in my original posts. I love tubes and can do nothing but shake my head at those that do not understand how they make money.

The sponsors that know how to edit their tube clips to make them 7 to 8 minutes long and only showing 2 minutes of sex always generate the most sales for me.

There are now more than a handful of companies that have figured out how to keep their content off the tubes and torrents without having to send DMCA after DMCA.

Maybe not 100%, but they've do a good enough job that the majority of people looking for it for free end up signing up.

They couples this with UNIQUE and HOT content that people are not getting anywhere else.

Really name two of them, Im curious :)
