I bought my first car off my mom when she upgraded. I had been driving it all the time already, but she still made me buy it off her. I was 18 and it was a 1989 Tercel. Sexy, I know.

I purchased my first car back when I was around 19 years old. A cheap and used 1974 Ford Maverik. It was a piece of shit but it took me from point A to point B. I remember being stopped at stop lights and having to hold my foot on the accelerator pedal while having to hold the other foot on the brake pedal (at the same time) so that the fucking engine wouldn't die out on me.

I was 16, paid cash... 23 when I got my first loan, I paid it off a year later. The car I drive today is paid off as well.

Cars suck... buy it used and save yourself like $10-$15k+ and get the same damn thing.

I bought my first car in 1985 for $4 dollars. (That's not a typo)
Since then I've had 2 VWs, 1 1972 Chevelle, 1 1966 GTO, a couple of miscellaneous crappy Chevy models, 1 Toyota crap car ('89 Tercel), 2 BMWs, 1 Cadillac, 3 pickups, 3 Camaros, 1 Kawasaki Enduro, 1 brand new Harley, 1 Firebird, 1 Buick, 1 Yugo, 1 Mustang, 1 Jetski, 3 Freightliner rigs, 1 Peterbilt rig, and currently drive a brand spankin' new BMW convertible and a lifted & pimped Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab.

There's probably been more in there, but some of them I just don't remember.

EDIT: yeah, I just thought of ten other cars I forgot about.
