dont drink alcohol or anything fizzy.
Try and sleep, drink a heap of bottled water - one an hour was always my trick. That way you sleep for an hour or so and wake up needing to take a piss because of all the water, get up and walk the long way to the toilet, drink another bottle of water and go back to sleep. You'll get off the plane feeling great. I used to fly from Australia to New York (about 22 hours total travelling time) or back the other way pretty much every weekend for about 6 months at one stage, and I found that routine worked pretty well for me. |
flight = cocktails.

And if you can tip a bartender enough in the airport bar you can get yourself a drink to go in a pepsi cup which they'll let you bring on the plane. :glugglug |
I go from Sydney to London once a year to see my folks.
In my experience the best way to survive is: Don't drink any alcohol Drink loads of water - to avoid dehydration and hang-over feeling Walk up and down every hour, and stretch. Sleep if you can Watch their stupid in flight entertainment. Wear special compression socks they sell at the airport - to reduce DVT risk. Take an aspirin today and tomorrow - also to reduce DVT risk. My friend always takes Valium, and he sleeps the whole time. Didn't work for me, I just felt shitty and could not sleep. My dad got DVT last year - but that was from sitting around at home all day. He got cured though, as it was diagnosed early enough. |
Load FLightSim onto your laptop and pretend your flying the plane
yell out "what the fuck was that noise" every so often just to disturb the other passengers |
