Definitely. It will open the door to cheaper and cheaper hardware for book viewing. Books will be easier to reference and quite dramatically, newspaper ads will be way easier to track and optimize. Definitely a first step in a long journey...

net books are cheaper and better for porn cause they can do flash.. This is a dumb gadget that will be bought up by all the apple fanboys but won't be great till Steve Jobs dies and Apple realizes that limiting books to only be bought from ibooks and all music and video to be used via itunes is not they way to do things.

If this Ipad was a mini macbook it would be great cause people could run windows on it but it's not. It's a iphone plus that can't even multitask

this is true. I do know a girl that bought a netbook for $300 cause she couldn't afford a real pc and that is her only pc other than the net on her phone but at $500 I doubt anyone would buy this as there main machine cause you can buy a kick ass laptop for $500.
