So today is the day. Is anyone interested in this based on what they've heard or read so far?

At this point, I'm gonna say no. But that could change with actually seeing what it is and what it's capable of.

It's still looking like it's more like we're going to get a giant iPod as opposed to a Tablet PC.

Agreed. I'll have to see it before I make my final judgment call on it, but I have a feeling it's not going to be nearly as "revolutionary" as they are hyping it to be.

The "revolutionary" part always gets to me. Most of what it will do can already be done, it'll just be done in a way that's a bit flashier.

how about super breakable too? and unable to change out batteries so once it can't hold a charge anymore it becomes useless? Can send it in for repairs but costs more than a new one, coincidence? :)

Been nothing but happy with my iphone so hoping the new tablet lives up to the hype. Just a few minutes left and we'll all know the specs.

Comments on the gadget blogs aren't fairing too well for Apple at the moment.

Dont know if I can actually use this but my GF wants one and $499 plus 50% when priced up is about the budget range for a christmas/birthday/everything else present for the next two years :thumbsup

I had a Toshiba tablet back when they came out in about 2004. Really all it was good for was checking your stats while you were in the backyard. After a while I stopped using it and I think it got thrown away recently lol..

For me, there just isn't a need to be filled by a device between Iphone and Laptop.
