Woke with a seriously bad headache

I had a really really bad back strain yesterday that meant I couldn't even lift a pencil to draw, my arm moving hurt my back so much I couldn't stand ... I don't know why, but it's probably related to the early arthritis shit I have been diagnosed with. I'm 31. Sucks. Anyway, so today I have woken with ... less pain in my back (although still there) and a fucking massive headache. I'm sitting here trying to organise my work day but feeling like I may not be able to keep my eyes on the screen much longer.

Bleh. I suffer a LOT of headaches. I have had tests etc so I'm not suffering a brain tumour, but I did worry about that. Anyone else have obscene headaches all the time?

I can relate. Have you had an allergy test? Do you have any jaw problems?

I've had a migraine since waking up to a screaming baby at 6am.

No, none of those... thing is, I get headaches anywhere, any time, for no reason. :( And they're REALLY bad.

The headache would have been there with or without the babies. The lack of sleep probably wouldn't.

I'd go see a neurologist, a few of them. I have suffered from migraines my entire life, have had 10 years worth of MRI's, cat scans, brain wand scans, etc and just a couple months ago they found a pituitary tumor.

After the neurologist looking back at my past mri's/mra's, they saw that the tumor was in fact there this entire time.

I was lucky it is binign and it is treatable by medication. I am currently taking Bromocriptine and I feel great. Haven't had a severe headache in almost a month now and rarely get headaches period.

My prolactin was around 1800 before I started taking medication and dieting, went to my Endocrinologist on this past friday and it is down over 70%, although the tumor is still affecting my thyroids a bit, but a bit more time on the medication should take care of everything.

I have to take the medication for the rest of my life, but it's only $20/month with my insurance.

I would definitely get more opinions if your headache is that bad and would suggest you go to the hospital if you were having back problems and now headaches, you can have a bleed.

Get second/third opinions on anything that might be serious.

Not trying to scare you, but it's something you want to do before it gets too late.

Erk... good plan. Glad your situation was treatable. I'll get a doctor appointment booked with a specialist!

I used to get the WORST migraine's ever !!

Thankfully haven't had one in a while now. Hope it stays that way. Those things would floor me for days at a time... :Oh crap
