Playboy Playmate dies from drug overdose

Was just sent this link from a friend. http://www.fox43.com/entertainment/w...,6149243.story

1989 Playboy Playmate Jennifer Jackson was found dead in her home. Police suspect the cause was from heroin overdose.

I've come to learn over the years that good looks, fame and money are not essential to happiness.
It makes me sad to see people lose their life this way.

RIP

xNetworx 01-22-2010 02:15 PM

RIP :( Heroin is no joke

ninavain 01-22-2010 02:15 PM

What is it, a check for $10k or something? Someone that can't handle that low-level and nearly non-existent level of fame is bound to snort any amount of money they have. The problem she had likely was never caused by the money... but possibly the lack of it.

DefaultMan 01-22-2010 02:18 PM

Damn she was not hot

fatfoo 01-22-2010 02:19 PM

That's part of the reason why I am against drugs.

Marketsmart says there is a clandestine drug operation that keeps USA safe.

But, how is it safe? Drugs are the most unsafe thing in the world. People die from overdoses.

I think in 1989 a Playmate got $20,000 for doing the centerfold plus more for doing a video and other work.

Heroin is EVIL. never tried it, never, ever will - saw too many musician friends chase the dragon thinking they were chasing greatness a la their idols, and OD in the process to ever touch that stuff.

I think I whacked off to her, back in the day, too. What a shame. RIP

I'm being misunderstood. I should have said it differently :winkwink:

Good looks and or fame and or money is not essential to be happy.

In no way did I mean that this person had all three.

Just an FYI: Chasing the dragon refers to smoking opium.

actually for 40 she doesn't look too bad - with makeup and 20 pounds less she'd look good.

hmmm, ""Chasing the dragon" (a slang phrase of Cantonese origin from Hong Kong, Traditional Chinese: 追龍, Simplified Chinese: 追龙, Cantonese Jyutping: zeoi1 lung4, pinyin: zhuī lóng) refers to inhaling the smoke from heated morphine, heroin or opium"

Money doesn't buy happiness. It just gives you more problems and things to bitch about.

I forget what modern day Playmates make, but it isn't that much. On top of it, there are heavy restrictions as to what they can do - including at least a year of modeling only for Playboy. I've met dozens of Playmates and they all tell me the same thing - they are locked down and cannot model for anyone else, and in return they aren't paid much. More or less they end up going broke.

Opiates are definite killers. Anyone who has been addicted to any form of opiate, be it vicodin, norco, morphine, heroine, etc knows that it's a horrible drug to overcome once you're on it. RIP. :2 cents:
