Where is all the rain? Light rain in SD now. I thought we were going to get washed out?

C-Luv 01-19-2010 02:28 PM

What is going on with this weather?

JP-pornshooter 01-19-2010 02:29 PM

hey johnny o..
i dont see the tornado warnings on the link..
pretty bad yesterday, i was shooting in woodland hills, big area poweroutage around 1 pm.
shot natural light with reflectors and battery strobes as much as we could, finally went and got a generator and that always makes the power come back on..

NetHorse 01-19-2010 02:29 PM

It doesn't say anything about a Tornado warning? That would be crazy though!!!!!

dyna mo 01-19-2010 02:30 PM

PixelVixens 01-19-2010 02:42 PM

What the hell, for real? It's been pouring here in the Valley the past couple days and is supposed to all week. But a tornado? That would be crazy

AaliyahLove 01-19-2010 02:42 PM

I've been thru some pretty gnarly tornados growing up in Chicago. I can't imagine how the Californians would take it if one actually touched down here, considering this rain is the headline story on the news every night and they are actually using the words "biblical proportions" FOR RAIN. LOL!

I was surprised to get some thunder and lightning today though, that's a first for me n Cali in the 2.2 years I've been here!! MY poor 140lb guard dog is terrified of thunder he's trying to stick his head in my lap to hide from it rt now...

Elli 01-19-2010 02:47 PM

Wow, craziness.

What are you talking about, Chicago never gets hit with Tornados. Maybe you mean some farm town in IL. :upsidedow

An hour north east of Chicago would put you in Lake Michigan :winkwink:, did you mean north west?

back to blue skies in pedro!

F-U-Jimmy 01-19-2010 04:11 PM

In Mission Beach they had about 1.5 inches of rain this morning. Roads are flooded, restaurants are closing and the doors sandbagged. Huge tree on Seaworld Drive / Mission Bay Drive blocking traffic. On highway 5, i passed 12+ cars that had spun of the freeway due to standing water and stupid drivers !!!

PixelVixens 01-19-2010 04:23 PM

I drove maybe 10 miles from my house today and passed 3 accidents. And that was just with rain. Californians are not equipped to deal with tornadoes.

SomeCreep 01-19-2010 10:10 PM

Rain rules.

Laurel 01-19-2010 10:11 PM

Tornado in cali? No way, but I could see a few Mudslides incidents taking place. Especially after the fires and all.
