Twitter joke led to police arrest and airport life ban.
A guy frustrated that bad weather at Robin Hood airport might cancel his trip to Ireland was arrested by anti-terrorism police and suspended from his job after he sent a Twitter message joking that he was going to blow up an airport.
The full story here. |
Serves the retard right.
A for being so stupid. And B for using Twitter. |
|
Oh right! Real terrorists first shout to the world their super-highly-secretive plans of blowing up things and then they press the button, that's the real modus operandis of a master of terror!!

Pre-crime is here...
|
slightly insane
|
If nothing else, he deserved a visit from the idiot police.

pretty stupid for him to do that, but at the same time the feds and local police have to jump on anything they can. if they dont and something happens, they will be at fault.
its what happens when you want more security, you get less privacy |
Fucking waste of resources
|
What a dick for posting such a stupid message anyway. I think he deserves it idiot

What was that movie with Tom Cruse.. Where people were arrested for their thoughts?...I guess it's here now...

Minority Report
|
Bah, the whole thing is stupid.
|
well, in all reality of things, it's only a lifetime ban from Doncaster airport.
I didn't even know Doncaster HAD an airport till I read this.... Still, the job banning makes no sense and an unfair dismissal case probably looms.... |
Well they did go overboard, but that guy should have used better judgment. You just can't say shit like that anymore, posting on the internet is like saying something on a megaphone in front of a crowd of people with tape recorders.
|
It goes further than Twitter. In one of the games I happen to play (World of Warcraft) chat logs are constantly being watched by the FBI. This to catch terrorists who are planning their secrets in the game. Pretty weird, but it really happens. Look it up on google, the articles are real :)

"Making jokes about terrorism is considered a thought crime, mistakenly seen as a real act of harm or intention to commit harm."

for your safety folks, its all for your safety it's only inevitable what this will end up as --> down the road, maybe 50 years maybe 100, if the US is still up to their cock gobbling ways that they are right now, you won't be able to act out against the government, then slowly itll become not able to speak out against the government - after all if youre speaking out against america then you must be a terrorist (see baddog, a guy who believes anything the US does is right and if youre criticizing it youre an anti-american terrorist) |
