DVD to Mpeg
 

Hey guys,

I need to convert DVD movies into mpeg and real media clips.

I'm looking into a company that's charging 1.60 - 2.10 per minute.

Anyone know of any company that is cheaper?

- a dvd drive in your computer ($ 60.00)
- free prog ( visit http://www.vcdhelp.com )

Prog: DVD2SVCD , DVD complete, DVD ripper , etc...

Keep your money for advertising.

yeah I was looking into that, but it's gonna take me about 5 hours to convert a four movie, then I have to cut them up into two minute scenes, add my site logo, grap screen shots, etc.
I might need a lot of DVD's done and really don't have the time to do it myself. That's why I'm looking into an outsource company for that.

Thats a real good deal, I think. Its not the conversion that takes time - but the breaking into 1-2 minute clips, a real pain in the ass.

Divx is the best format to rip from DVD. Two of the best programs out there are Virtual Dub and Flask Mpeg (both of which are free). They are downloaded free from Source Forge at www.virtualdub.org and flaskmpeg.com
With the filter Flask Mpeg can read the files from the DVD or you can find Smart Ripper on Kazaa and it will rip the DVD to your harddrive.
