Wish everyone a good, successfull year.

If there is anything (reasonable) I can do to help you let me know. No reach arounds, nude cam shows, sending you money etc...

Be positive. Those of you who are negative all the time, instead of making that negative post, ripping on someone, or trying to pick a fight... Try doing something nice, watch a funny video on youtube that will make you laugh, or spend more time working... Next time you want to troll, find a post where you can give someone a helpfull tip instead of ripping on someone. If you think someone is an idiot or trolling you, put them on ignore.... If you going to argue at least let it be over business related stuff not politics, religion, current events or someone's grammer.... that is just a waste of your time.

postive thoughts and actions I really believe not only will make you more wealthy, but it is good for your health.

Fight the urge to reply back to this post by saying something smart ass :)

If you can help me reach an income of at least $1000 a month strictly from adult sites, I'll give you half of that income for the first 6 months of me reaching that goal.

Right now I'm just using things I learned from adult webmasters and applying them to mainstream projects and it works. I'm living very well from this. Never worked out for me with adult though. Before I die I want to be an adult webmaster as well, besides just being a GFY sig whore for SpaCash. Help me!

I was giving someone advice today, and with all the "dos and donts of advertising, how to convert better etc etc etc...." I think the most beneficial piece of advice I could give someone, and something I knew just don't think about as much as I should have is.... Managing your time.

Some people use GFY just for business some just for "entertainment". Unless you are working 100+ hours a week or making more money than you want (<- prolly applies to no one) then instead of posting about BS, and wasting 10 minutes or 5 hours, spend it working or at least posting about business related stuff that will help you, and others.

After you have spent a hour arguing with someone about politics, current events, religion, etc etc... stop and think WTF did you accomplish, did you even change the other person's thinking, and how did that help you any ? Did it make you more money etc... Don't get caught up in the none sense. Doesn't just apply to GFY, there are other things in your life you could end up wasting too much time doing that does absolutely nothing to help you. If you want to take a break go spend time doing a hobby, watch something funny, read info that will help teach you to do whatever you do better. Help someone....

years ago i used to play a lot of video games, i got really good at a few, then when this new game came out that i was really looking forward to, i thought to myself "wow, youve spent 2000(or whatever) hours over the past 3 years getting really good at battlefield 1942", if you had put that time into your own business, you would have had the same fun + get somewhere"

i bought the game, never installed it, then 6 months later started my business, very happy i did

but let me also say i learned a tremendous amount off my many hours of reading gfy :)

A little entertainment is good, whether it is playing a video game or playing with kids if you have them, watching a movie, etc... but yeah excessively playing a game for several hours a week isn't going to help you make money for sure.

I wish you a very successful year too, will :)
Would love to see GFY become a little more productive or at least to the levels of the early 2k years.

Great advice dude, and the same approach I'm using these days.
Except the part about putting people on ignore and all that. When you've prioritized properly, it never even gets to that stage, because it just doesn't matter. I would say, don't even waste time going through the motions of putting someone on "ignore", because it validates their action, and in the back of your mind will quietly eat at you and disrupt what could otherwise be productive time.

true.... ignore helps for those of us who aren't all the way there yet. A good middle ground to help us get to where we can just ignore them in our minds and don't have to go do it manually.

BlackCrayon 01-14-2010 03:14 PM

good advice but its hard to heed sometimes. i got fucked on a deal today that costs me thousands and rather than take out my frustrations on friends or family, GFY seems like a better place to do it but you never know, the person you piss off today you might need/be able to make some money with the next.
