Should I be angry?

Yes, you should be mad. Thats not a good response. Without knowing the name of the host and being able to offer any opinion other than based on the response I would have to suggest you move to another host. Perhaps Critical.net ? :-)

Maqua 01-11-2010 10:37 AM

It sounds like they don't give a crap about your business nor do they really care, yes I would be mad!!

Tanker 01-11-2010 10:43 AM

just move it all to one of these hosts we have never had a problem with them at all

http://www.techiemedia.com

http://www.mojohost.com

they will even do the move for you! just get an account setup and your all set!

Quality hosts rock!

BillyHoe 01-11-2010 11:08 AM

That's bullshit. Find a better host. Upgrades are part of the biz, but a 2 line email is crap. They should at the very least give you an eta on the downtime.

Sid70 01-11-2010 11:22 AM

damn, i knew i always been too patient.

dav3 01-11-2010 11:39 AM

Please follow the news?

SinfullySexy 01-11-2010 12:03 PM

Too many reputable good cheap hosting companies around to put up with that!!

Cyber Fucker 01-11-2010 12:23 PM

"please follow the news" ?? Are they joking or something?

I had once hdd failure at my dedicated server with webair, server was monitored and the hdd was replaced within 10 minutes and my stuff retrieved from the backup immediately. :thumbsup

Sid70 01-11-2010 12:29 PM

things arent that bad im given the ETA already :)

TondaB 01-11-2010 12:52 PM

Glad things are looking up for you, I hope you get your site back online shortly:)

Sounds like a lot of bullshit in this thread with the people telling you to move.

Whats wrong about that reply? I have to imagine theres more to it then just that ONE reply... right?
So the determining factors is the ENTIRE ticket history, not just that one response.

How have they handled the issue thus far to come to the conclusion that the drive is bad?

ftp was dead for 4 days, then up for several hours then finally dead again and then it was followed by this HDD message when i requested about the problem. Following gfy advice i have requested the ETA and got it. I hope it will eb resolved. All I can say if i had a paysite business running i'd be really mad, since i run design business amd my site remained visible i am only a lil bit angry.
