CCbill seems to be having a lot of issues lately, then asking for more Visa money on top of it?

Why is that? Poor conversions or because you can't hide a cross sale with them?

I think for a long time people have been scared to voice an anti-ccbill opinion on forums for fear of all the "love them for their reliability" guys jumping down their throats without considering the actual issue.

Now a few have started receiving rightfully sympathetic responses to their unresolved issues, more are coming forward.

Personally I think It could be time for them to invest in a little overhaul of some of their systems. I think they can afford it.

Hi Mark, Email sent, thanks

spacedog 01-08-2010 11:27 AM

I haven't checked percentages, etc, but a site I've been promoting has been netting 3 to 5 sales daily, then starting yesterday, ZIP, but that don't mean shit.

SwirlsGirl 01-08-2010 01:35 PM

SpaceDog, you are not alone, I have been experiencing the very same phenomenon, I started a thread last week about very peculiar submission percentgaes, and flurries of sales to back up processors simultaneously when ccbill join form submissions, go from 45% to 4% or 0% the same day.

Are you aware that there are 3 threads on the front page of gfy at the time of my post with webmasters noticing that somethings are not adding up?

Shoplifter 01-08-2010 01:53 PM

What I see here is a lot of frustration beginning to bubble up due to the general business situation. Everyone is now starting to point fingers.

Yeah I am seeing some of these issues too, and have a CCBill "wish list" as well.

But some of the nonsense we are seeing posted here lately is a little misguided. I hope that everyone can be a little more descriptive and cool with what they are posting.

A answer needs to be or else people like myself and many others will leave ccbill. Especially because they refuse to explain themselves with anything it seems.

So true... I don't use CCbill but I do use both Vertrol and Zombaio on my sites and they also have days like that as well

if somebody thinks something is wrong we will look at it, i am not aware of any issue affecting global signups, but what we can do here is look at the stats, incoming form hits, submissions, appprovals/declines, perhaps even do a test signup with a live card to see if everything on our end is working as it should.

the OP is free to post whether we did a satisfactory analysis or not, not sure what else i can do here

SpeakEasy 01-09-2010 12:18 PM

We need to hear a stisfactory resolution to this and not a bunch of side stepping.:helpme

SwirlsGirl 01-09-2010 02:30 PM

lets see what we have discovered in the past few days...

multiple webmasters observing inconsistent and way off join form submission percentages, one day very high percentages in the 45%-50% the next day drops to 1%,4%,0% with steady traffic, in some instances backup processors have sudden flurry of sales when ccbill submissions drop to virtually nothing

multiple webmasters have complained about recent payouts being 70% short

One webmaster has found a 200 member discrepancy(who knows I figure about a $5,000 discrepancy) between his member data base and what ccbill has paid him on.

Not to mention seeing passwords added to his database by ccbill from other websites that are not even his!!! He even posted his log file for all of us to view.

another usa webmaster tried to sign up to his site with a good card with funds on it, and he was declined within the past week!

Multiple webmasters getting emails from customers about login and pass not working, then when we try the login and pass it works fine for us.

Multiple webmasters have chimed in and cosigned about observing the same exact weird activity

Multiple webmasters were thinking about starting a thread but did not want to be victims of backlash by naive webmasters who come in and attack them for raising concerns

Who knows what it all means, at the very least something doesn't add up. No one wants to think the worst but when you get the same cyber/verbal assurances from ccbill that everything is fine, while more webmasters are trying to get real answers about real concerns...

and the best you get from ccbill is "send me your account# and we will take a look at your account we are not aware of any problems"

I remember at the beginning of 2009 I experienced record declines, and denials, I mean like quadruple what I would normally see during the first month of the year, and after starting a thread about it, and forking over my account # to the ccbill guys....

I was in fact told that my accounts fraud scrubbing was set a little high for some reason... the reason was never disclosed but I was told that adjustments had been made and I should see the decline rate go down.

Not sure what "adjustments" were made but the declines went back down to a "normal" rate.

I didn't think much of it... then but in retrospect, ecspecially as of the recent board activity... it tells me that regardless of what they tell you about scrubbing...

someone or something(software) has the ability to go into a clients account without notice or approval and adjust fraud scrubbing settings.

So logically that brings into mind a bunch of other questions like, who decides what accounts get higher scrubbing, How do we know that all client accounts are scrubbed equally, fairly, etc.

I don't know what it all means, but there is enough information as of late to conclude that there are more questions than there are answers about recent ccbill topics.

corvette 01-09-2010 03:37 PM

swirlsgirl, ill certainly admit last week was a more challenging week than normal. I read the various discussions on here about Visa increasing their renewal fees, the issue with payouts to a select group (by the way, an email went out last night informing those affected of the amount that was being inserted into the check going out this Mon)

what I will say is this, we are committed to maximizing our value to our clients. Anyone experiencing issues with throughput, our Analysis Team can review their accounts to see if there is anything strange (let me know, [email protected]), and send a report detailing everything we looked at (hits, submissions, trends, etc), and as well I am willing to click through a tour and sign up with my own personal card as a typical consumer out of Arizona would, to see if anything is not working right from a real-world perspective. We are obviously very eager to locate any issues that may possibly be costing us loss of revenue.

If anybody wants to talk about any issues or anything at all, send me an email with your phone number and ill call you back to discuss any concerns, I promise that you will see that we take this very seriously.
