Anyone here ever have an obstructive sleep apnea procedure done?
I don't know if I have sleep apnea yet, but all of the signs point to yes. Constantly tired, waking up 10 times a night, headaches, etc...
I was wondering if anyone here has ever had a procedure done for obstructive sleep apnea. If so, how did that go? How long did it take to heal and how did you feel afterward, finally being able to get a normal night of sleep? |
i say go get a sleep study find out if you have it.

i think i have sleep apnea too and wondered the same thing. this older guy i knew in Santa Monica had it done and said he is 100x better
i wake up at night completely out of breath, almost like im choking.. sucks ass |
I have sleep apnea one of the worst my doctors ever seen. My doctors told me that the surgeries do more damage then good. I wear a mask and aside from taking time to get used to it it fixes everything. You no longer wake up at all and it fixes your breathing problems. Just go get a sleep study done. If you have more questions in detail ill be happy to answer them hit me up in icq.

I've read about some botched surgeries resulting in 'empty nose syndrome', etc. I'm going to get a sleep study done shortly.
I have a feeling it is related to my recent increase in weight. I've been bulking over the last 4 months and am at 210lbs now. I'm going to start dropping some weight starting the next couple of weeks, hopefully that improves things. Even when I'm at around 190 I still have problems sleeping however, looking back, this issue has definitely worsened as I've put on the extra weight. |
My brother and I both have sleep apnea. My brother went the surgery route, and I went with the machine.
Within 8 months, my brother was back to having apnea, and had to go on the machine. I think the surgery is basically a waste of money. |
