The "Mr. Bean" television show was brilliant but the movies sucked. In the show he never spoke (almost never) but when he went Hollywood the studios wanted a speaking character and totally destroyed the movies.

Mr. Bean really isn't ranked very high in the UK. When you know him from other really great stuff it just appears lame.

I'll always associate Rowan Atkinson with Blackadder, but then again I love sarcasm.

I agree, the movie wasn't even really about Mr. Bean, the established character. It was some new version of Mr. Bean.

I still remember the first time I saw the show late at night on PBS. It was the mini golf episode and it was one of the most unusual shows I'd ever seen on TV. I had no clue what it was. I was hooked after that.

Fuck Mr. Bean. Bring back Benny Hill!!!
