CCbill affilliate program vs. Epoch Affilliate

Looking for some serious feedback here...I recently switched one of my sites over to epoch because I wanted to use their affiliate program and in order to do so I was told by them that they have to be the main biller for each site....my one new site at the time grindmycock.com was getting about 1 to 2 sales a day....I haven't changed a thing..same ads I am doing and now since I have moved to epoch I am having 7-10 sales a month?? I thought it was odd...there aren't a bunch of declines either...nada to be exact.....so my question is to I move everything over to ccbill and say the hell with epoch...my affilliate site is sickpuppycash.com and I just launched it a month ago so I wouldn't be losing affilliates if I switched back to ccbill. Thanks for the Feedback!!:thumbsup

Get yourself a copy of NATS and use CCbill as one of your cascade processors.

Were the sales before generated by affiliates? If so then switching to Paycom cost you sales from less promotion. If you generated sales in house then there's no reason for sales to be down drastically switching from one processor to the next. Unless you don't have Visa approved on one of them

SickPuppy has had an Epoch program for longer than a month. I promoted SickPuppy via Epoch and I've never gotten a reply to inquiries on what happened to my checks, rebills, etc. Well, one of the owners said she was moving to Tuscany or some place like that and that I'd need to interface with other folks there and nobody else ever responded to me. Can you explain what happened?

Re: your original question, we are now running concurrent CCBill and Epoch programs for SpookyCash and I think it is nice to give affiliates a choice of which they want to promote with.

Absolutely...the site has been sold twice since then....I don't know when you were affiliated with them...I purchased the site in 2008 and had it completely redone as it was almost a dead site...I think it had about 50 members on it...There was no affiliate program in place when I bought it and recently had an affiliate program set up through epoch....I don't know what happened to any of the previous owners....

How can you have both affiliate programs? I was told by epoch that they have to be the main processor of all my sites in order to use the affiliate program? Is this not true...can they just be a cascading biller?

Thanks

BTW...That's a nice of doing the affiliate program...let them choose

How can you not know how to get in touch with any of the prior owners? Seems like you would at least know who you bought it from. How can you know nothing about the allegedly prior owners, yet know precisely how many times the site has allegedly been sold?

You should get in touch with Epoch and ask them what is going on. Show them your data for both processors and they should have an explanation for you.

AmeliaG, I am going on what I was told by the person I bought it from....You apparently had an issue with the first owners..Lady something I thought was her name...I don't know where the original owner is..no clue....and correct me if I am wrong but since I set up an epoch affiliate program it seems as they take the money immediately out of your pay for the affiliates...meaning I don't ever touch the affiliates money...it seems that maybe epoch could have helped you back then...and I can't get in touch with the person I bought it from...they were moving and I tried their number about 6 months ago and it doesn't work....I bought the domain and rebuilt the site., there was no epoch affiliate account at that time,..I bought new content....everything...new epoch account(once epoch transfered the members I was left with about 15)...I wish I could steer you in the right direction but it seems to me that you know more about the first owner than I do.
I would appreciate it if you stop making accusations at me on this board as I truly wonder how many sites change hands and have their pedigree come along with it....That's like trying to get in touch with the original owner of a business that has changed hands two to three times, seems like a stretch to me and I am sorry the original owner did that to you. However with that said, I am NOT the original owner.

Why are you so defensive? No need to get all dramatic about it. What accusations have I made? I asked what happened to my checks and rebills and such, without jumping to any conclusions.

What makes you think Lady Kiri was the first owner of the site? If the site has changed hands so many times, how do you have any idea which of the previous owners iterations I promoted?

If there was no Epoch account at that time, how would there have been Epoch members to transfer? If you transferred my rebilling members to another Epoch account, doesn't that kind of indicate what happened to my rebills, which was one of my initial questions?

Lastly, when you buy a site, you buy its pedigree. Goodwill is always a factor, for an existing property, in terms of whether it is worth more or less than it would be otherwise.

Yet you accuse ME of not making your payouts...you ask ME where they are....I just spoke with epoch and they have been responsible for paying affiliates since at least 1999....Also I did not get any of your rebills because there was no affiliate program in place when I purchased the site...once again confirmed by epoch....call them yourself and find out....:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

I did not accuse you of anything.

I guess I did point out that SickPuppy has had an affiliate program for longer than a month, but, as you just stated SickPuppy has had an Epoch program since 1999, doesn't seem like we are in disagreement there.

I simply asked what happened to my checks and rebills and you are coming back at me kind of aggressively defensive.

ruasickpuppy 01-07-2010 04:21 PM

Epoch in general has been in charge of paying the affiliates for all of their sites since 1999...you are misunderstanding my response...I was stating that so you could see that epoch would always take the affiliates cut out of the webmasters pay before they got it...I called epoch to find that out...so when you implied we have had an affilaite program since then you are incorrect....we just launched our affiliate program...confirm that with epoch too if you would like...my point is that you come on the board asking where your checks and rebills are from god knows how long ago...which should have been handled by epoch and how should I know?

We just started the affiliate program. We bought it with NO affiliate program in place..(once again confirmed by epoch). Let me guess..you are responsible for the all 15 members that transferred with the site that were members since fall of 07...that cancelled once we shut the site down and rebuilt it..
so let me see why I am so defensive...let me start writing on your posts why spookycash.com hasn't paid me. Yet you have no idea who I am and let me make the accusations you are making about me in a public forum and let's see how much you appreciate it.

If an affiliate had a question about SpookyCash, I would look into whatever their issue was and find out the answer, if I did not know it offhand. If it was something I could not handle for them for some reason, I would refer them to specifically who could help them and instructions on how.

Yet, instead of trying to assist a SickPuppy affiliate, you are kinda freaking out and being hyper-defensive and simultaneously getting reeeeeeeeally specific in your details and saying you know nothing at all about the history of your own property.

kaori 01-07-2010 06:32 PM

well aside from this little fight...

personally, as an affiliate, I prefer to promote through CCBILL.... (I even prefer it to NATS)...
I like having all my sites in one place, I like how streamlined it is to promote a new site, I like knowing that the checks will be sent out regularly and not up to the webmaster...
