Is there an ALTERNATIVE for ESCROW?
 

One of my best friends lives in a country where ESCROW doesnt allow him to use their services. He sold his website, but to make sure none of the parties are at risk (buyer/seller) we are looking for a third party service that is as safe to use as escrow.

It involves a big sum of money.

Is there anything like that?

Payment should be through wire.

Any help apreciated! Tips, and advise wanted!

ask your bank about lock box. union bank, wells fargo do it. you might have to ask a business banker about it as most general bankers are not familiar with the process..

have the money wired to me

Moniker.com or Sedo.com...Sedo is more internationally friendly so chances are they'd do it for whatever country that is. Just need to specify it's a website and not just the domain being transferred.
