Anyone here own a free image host? Thoughts?
Was contacted to purchase a free image host. Traffic mainly comes from craigslist and a handful of auto forums. The traffic stats and CTR's look good, but was wondering if its worth it. Does anyone on here own one? Are they nothing more then a bandwidth hog? I have seen more and more of them pop up so they must be making it some how. Any advice on them would be welcomed.

in the past many "social" sites like forums etc didnt have the ability to upload pictures etc hence the need for alternative image hosts, but nowadays most social sites try and add image hosting into their service.hatisblack at yahoo.comComment

I have one, but thats cause i dont like the free ones with their water marks and popups and stuff. I use it mainly for my own, and thats why I have one. Script is like 5 $ or so... or 10 when you want with some more options. I am careful with letting other people use it, before you know you host a bad illegal image or something.Comment

Yeah I was wondering about someone posting a copyrighted image. I know you can review all the images in the admin area and remove the ones you think violate your TOS. Do you have ads on your free image host? The one in question mainly runs Google Adsense with a few banners.Comment

Ok here is the scam, and no OP I'm not accusing of going this route..
A lot of the warez porn forums have mega threads with 1million+ views..What people are doing is creating their own image site riddled with advertisements to host the image caps of the movies..
They put the thumbnail of the image caps and the file sharing link for each movie. Now imagine spending your day updating your 'megathreads' on 20-30 forums everyday. They also get paid by the file sharing companies per download.
I know sometimes people think, "why is this guy wasting all this time to share so many movies for free, what is he getting out of it?" Well there's your answer..
