Domino's "new" pizza
I don't know if you guys have seen they hype, but Domino's changed their pizza-
It's pretty good marketing, they hit up a ton of people on twitter that had previously bitched about their pizza and offered them coupons, etc. to keep the buzz going. We're both still a little hung over so we figured why not give it a shot. I've never been a huge fan of dominos, we usually get real pizza from a pizzeria around the corner, but you know, I was curious. I wasn't expecting a miracle, just change. I didn't think it was possible, but honestly I think they've made the pizza worse :disgust You can't really notice much of a difference. The pizza dough itself is exactly the same. The new sauce and new cheese are somehow blander than before & the only change to the crust is now they hit it with whatever they put on the breadsticks. They should just use the marinara sauce they send out with the breadsticks for the pie itself. It's not great sauce, but it's miles ahead of what they are using now. Oh well, not a shocker, just thought I would share. Even though the pizza was a let down in a way their marketing worked. They didn't win me over and change my mind about their pizza, but they did get a sale from someone who otherwise would not have ordered from them. |
domino's is the worst.just order from some mom and pop joint if you can.

they dont have dominoes here but i do remember that it taste like crap.. i used to go with papa john's if the local italian place wasn't open...

big corp needs to learn not to give a fuck about user reviews, people will bitch and cry over everything, look at youtube comments and yelp reviews
food is one of those things that one person can love and other can hate |
it's a lot better than it use to be
|
Still looks like generic bland pie

Good pizza joints are few and far between in FL if you appreciate real NY style pizza. For chain pizza there used to be Scotto's Pizza. They had them in malls all over, but now I think the last few that exist are all in NJ. Shit was good, I miss it like crazy. |

Obviously, a "real" pizza place is better.
But there are times Domino's is faster and easier. Don't get their "regular" pizza - it sucks, "new recipe" or not. Get the thin crust with white sauce, lots of cheese, garlic and tomatoes. Not bad at all. Or if you're from the East Coast and have nostalgic memories of NY style pizza with the grease dripping off of it, the Brooklyn style isn't bad. :2 cents: |
