help me set up my screen display
 

i have a new video card - made everything on my screen too bright and washed out, so i changed the brightness and gamma settings and i liked how it looked. now i came to GFY and I see the background pattern on here is pretty dark.

on your monitor how bright is that background pattern?

its pretty visible...I see it perfectly....

black light gray ... not sure exactly what you want to know, dont you know what it looks like normally?

i know what it looked like to ME - there's no way of knowing what other people see unless they describe what they see. if i set it to how i remember it looked, photos look washed out by brightness. i need to tinker more.

Yea something is amiss.

Well, the black is of course a #000000 the gray is just about at #cccccc

off hand... Sounds like your contrast is up too much...
