What about name theft?

I would like some real resources on shutting down websites claim to be my official website or profiting off of my name without my permission.

I constantly am checking my name on Google and am going to start compiling list of links of shared content and send it to the companies.

This is a business as any other stealing is just wrong people.

I'm not a lawyer...but the first thing I did in 2007 when I opened Claudia-Marie.Com was I registered Claudia-Marie as trademark. Nobody can pull that shit with me now.

If you didn't do that, I'm not so sure you have a leg to stand on. :(

The guys at Quickbuck were bad about going out and buying up the .org to girls and linking it back to THEIR sites. They did it to some of our girls Celeste Fox and Brittany Love. Took some of our pics, built a tour, and when you hit "Join" you ended up joining their sites! LOL!

Finally was able to talk to them and get them to pull those sites down. But they didn't legally have to, but did it out of courtesy to me.

My good advice to you is to get every variation of your name that is still available. And then find out who owns the others and contact them and try to talk them out of it and/or cut a deal and buy the domains. Unless you have it trademarked, in which case you can go after them if they try to use that domain for adult.

Just re-read that and realized I wasn't real clear...when you hit "Join" you ended up joining a QuickBucks site is what I meant. :)

Thank you Robbie. I have filed my mark I think the best thing is that I originally purchased my domain in early 04 when I started in the biz. So my mark is good through back then. The domain was taken from underneath me but I was able to get it back a few years ago.

I have so many domain issues (the last count was 12) that I now have a lawyer on the payroll. In so many instances companies have misspelled my last name with a "w" in stead of a "u". Making my quest that much more interesting.

I have sent a few emails so they know it is coming or maybe they don't. I am half way tempted to start pretending I am a man to be taken seriously. LOL

Thank you for responding. I needed the support of knowing others have been successful in where i am going.
