Abby Winters owner charged with 54 serious charges. WOW

Scary stuff. This is why I've always tried to keep my nose clean. I don't tell people what I do and don't rub anyone the wrong way. When you are in porn one slip up and you can be fucked hard.

cyco_cc 12-30-2009 05:37 PM

Too mesmerized by your sig to post anything meaningful but:

The women claim G Media used large cash incentives to lure naive women into performing sex acts on camera.
Boo Hoo. These girls made the choice to take off their clothes and fuck. How many of these girls were educated and/or could make this same amount of money without fucking or stripping?

uno 12-30-2009 05:38 PM

Isn't he the guy who told his members who signed up via affiliate links to cancel their membership and resignup because affiliates are "stealing" from him?

Spunky 12-30-2009 05:39 PM

Serious shit,that sucks

To what?! LURE them into it? haha... fucking bullshit mainstream prudes. I bet those same girls had no fucking problem spending the money and taking naive shopkeeper's items!

Jeez, this world is fucked if this shit happens. I mean, the child stuff? I don't know what's true or not there but no one can be lured into something and say after that they didn't know what was going to happen.

"Hey, time to fuck"

"Sorry? I don't want to do that"

"Ok, no problems, get your clothes and we'll find another model"

"Oh ... hang on ... maybe we can discuss it"

Seems pretty obvious who was naive here ... and it wasn't the girls!!!!

Lace 12-30-2009 05:46 PM

Wow...those CP allegations are pretty strong.

It's illegal filming porn in Victoria?

themadwriter 12-30-2009 05:59 PM

that sucks!!! Should have looked into if it was legal or not to do what he was doing before he set out on his quest for that almighty dollar. He may very well be looking at doing a serious prison term!

_Richard_ 12-30-2009 06:05 PM

that sucks, all over a tabloid too

kristin 12-30-2009 06:56 PM

Wow, 57 charges. Ouch ... dang.

I really like their content too.

Agent 488 12-30-2009 07:02 PM

porn is legal nowhere.

karma is a bitch.

Yes, it's illegal in most states down here, or dubious gray area at best.

I held on posting this yesterday from this article...

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/vic...-1225814347526

More info in that article. Garion is a good guy, I wish him and his company the best.

I think this is more tabloid than anything as reflected by this article here... from June...

http://www.somebodythinkofthechildre...ues-statement/

Same thing going on there in Australia as here but even more intense.

SUCKS...

Abby Winters is the reason i am in this business. my first site with total amateur content would be a huge success nowadays, i was only 6 to 7 years too early :-/

Zorgman 12-30-2009 10:04 PM

Well going on what the australian gov is doing with this internet filtering anyway, it would be true to say AbbyWinters would be on the ISP blacklist which means they wouldn't even be able to see their own sites.

fatfoo 12-30-2009 10:14 PM

Bad news for Abby Winters.

beemk 12-30-2009 10:18 PM

isnt that the site that didnt pay rebills and screwed affiliates over on other stuff?

mvee 12-30-2009 10:50 PM

I was talking about this with a guy who runs a brick and mortar chain in Australia back in September. From what I understand the Aussie Gov and local law have been really aggressive using fear tactics to either prosecute models or get cooperation from them. Apparently, they have even been going to the parents homes of some of the girls and telling them that they are an accessory to the crime.

Davy 12-31-2009 02:49 AM

30,000 subscribers? Wow, that's a lot.

madawgz 12-31-2009 02:56 AM

its only on the list if its unclassified (well so we are told LOL), and porn is classified R18+ -> XXX here.. if it was hosted in Aus they would be prosecuted regardless as its illegal here to do so...

So do films/content get classified by some governing body in Aus like elsewhere?

Yep. Also has some very strange ideas on what constitutes pr0n. (Two girls going at it naked is NOT that.)

GABScott 12-31-2009 04:53 AM

I used to live in Melbourne and have known people who modelled and worked for Gmedia in a variety of roles. Every one of them told me they thought it was a very forward thinking and nice place to work... not at all what is described in the Herald Sun article, having said that this paper is a piece of far right tabloid trash that also supports the Aus gov net filter among it's general policy line of hating all foreigners and anything approaching normal rational thought. I hope Garion is cleared of all charges and that this may generate a general debate within Australia, sadly I doubt that this will be the case. While the DVD's were shot in australia they were allways produced in the US which I think is the loophole Garion was seeking to exploit regarding the local laws. As for the CP claims I would imagine that it's 3 models that at the time of the police raid Garion was unable to supply 2257 docs for, which while definitely an error amongst the hundreds of model records is probably a filekeeping error rather than a CP charge. Still thius is all supposition I am sure that the truth will out, eventually till then best wishes to all caught in this shitstorm.

Les Grossman 12-31-2009 05:00 AM

If he fucked his affiliates the way people are saying, then fuck him, let him hang.

Mutt 12-31-2009 06:06 AM

The women claim G Media used large cash incentives to lure naive women into performing sex acts on camera
************************************************** *********************

hahaha - how dare anybody lure anybody into working with the promise of a paycheck.

the women if they were being honest should have said either 'we're absolute morons, we could be lured into jumping into a vat of acid if offered large amount of cash' OR 'we're whores, they offered us a nice amount of money to have sex on camera, we did, because yes, we are whores'

you lure children to do something with a reward, you lure a pet dog or cat with treats - you don't lure adults into anything, by 18 all of us have learned to say 'no'

people think of Australia as this cool laid back country - there are states there that make the US Bible Belt look liberal

Fletch XXX 12-31-2009 06:12 AM

hopefully they go after people carding surfers for $150 and give them more jail time. Do the crime, do the time.

GABScott 01-07-2010 05:06 AM

Update for you all: HERE

Wow, he paid more if they did more..... just tabloid bashing bullshit really.

Abby Winters actually came across as being a very ethical company with a decent outlook on females in porn.

Their content didn't rock my boat but meh, it wasn't terrible.

They did urge members to drop the affiliate cookie so they wouldn't have to pay out affiliate commissions.

This is going to be Global soon. A lot of the elite think the Internet is a bad thing and plan to crack down on it hard. This is just another step towards this New World Order they want. Mark my words, the web as we know it will not look the same in 5 or so years.

No, they did not 'urge'. They were newbies at affiliate programs at that time, and it was a question. A bit foolish, yes, mistakes happens, but they are honest - and they convert.
Besides that, why urge someone who is member and already signed up through a cookie? :upsidedow

Most of these "wow serious" charges against the website are about everything this industry is fighting for; free speech. So, why shouldn't any in this industry stand up for that right? You do not have to show the latest bukkake scenes at the family dinner table.. but at least say "hey, nudity and non-obscene sex is cool".

That is what abbywinters is doing, and unlike some of the other ASACP sponsors, they have also made a commitment to the best practise. They also have the same requirements to their affiliates, including filtering content. And speaking of content, every model can choose to stay out of public, so they also have a big list of no-no for the affiliates. What you read in the tabloid, is bullshit.

These charges are totally bullshit, and the australian government and their religious nutcases can go fuck themselves. :321GFY
