Apple Tablet rumors have been heating up this past month. Barely a day goes by without new information arising. Never before have so many Apple Tablet rumors hit the scene in such short succession and we believe the Apple Tablet is imminent. The possible 10.7" screened device may be announced as soon as January. Experts are expecting the announcement of the Tablet on January 26th and product to start shipping sometime in March.

According to a former Apple employee we “will be very surprised how interact with the new tablet.” Apple could be stepping up the touch-screen game with a virtual keyboard you can feel. They already hold a patent for the technology. If used in a tablet the keyboard with indent when pressed giving the feel of true tactile keys.

Lastly we need a name for the device. It was recently discovered that Apple owns www.islate.com so might the tablet be an iSlate - even though some small mysterious company already holds that trademark?

The peripheral would combine the electronics to run the multi-touch sensor and the sensing circuitry in a single device. According to the patent application, this would be an improvement over existing multi-touch technology, with a greater number of detectable points on its surface because of the size of the sensing circuitry.

and after tablets, just like in movies, you see holographic images in clear desks or wall screens in which you click, drag, etc.... all coming down the pipe..

I really don't get the hype for the Apple version..

Our kids Doctor has had a tiny ass touch screen laptop with a keyboard on screen, for like 4 years now.

I just started seeing those, they must specialize in Pediatricians. They are really cool.

Never really thought if it was exclusive to them or not.. I do remember him saying the same people that make the Fast Food systems, made his. It has all of the billing info, patient records, etc right on it. He can take a picture, and it instantly uploads to the record.

Aye, they're very cool...that's why I didn't understand the hype over Apples, but if it's exclusive to Doctors, then it's a bit more understandable.

then we'll just have to jailbreak the islate :)

I hope their next thing will be big, because I still have quite a lot of shares from a few years back.

I was in the Alps skiing for a week and had 3G access on my laptop tethered to my non-jailbroken iPhone :2 cents:

iPhone tethering was launched quite a few months back... in Europe at least. So if this is the only punch for this tablet, then it will not pack much in Europe.

Europe is a whole different market (diff carrier)

I as well tether with my iPhone (jailbroken) but with AT&T they don't want you to tether.. if the general non-jailbroken population tethered... the att system would die lol

Yes, it will be cool no doubt...but it really isn't much more than a giant iPod touch. And for $1000? They'll sell them, but this Apple fan isn't buying. At least not the first generation or two.

Why would the tie it to the iPhone, which is already tied to one carrier...thus limiting their ability to actually sell the product?

This isn't the next iPhone, it's evolution of the iPod.

I'll wait until second gen, when they get the kinks worked out.
