Before you go out spending money expecting huge party from scores read what I posted on another board:

That was an interesting response to my email Tara.

I guess if you plan on partying with people from scores and you get an invite, or a ticket, or some special accommodation, it doesn?t mean much at all.

Special ?tickets? and VIP invites to secret parties that ?disappear? are part of your games on how you treat webmasters.

Not having a party is OK. Just don?t talk it up and spam everyone about it, advertise it in magazines, give me a ticket and then after waiting an hour at the dock take off without us.

Then this shit!

Hello,
We are extremely sorry for what happened. It was beyond our
control. Scorescash would like to offer you in advance 2 passes to our
undisclosed party in Jan. This party will not have any VIP, and I can
assure you it will be tons of fun. Again, we are extremely sorry this
happened to you. Please write me back with all your info, so I can send
these passes to you. Thanks We hope to see your there.

Hello,
I am extremely sorry but unfortunately we are not hosting a party for
Internext any longer. I will keep you posted for future events though.

Your original excuse before was not being able to control how many tickets were given out. If you can?t count paper tickets, how can you count hits and sales?

People on this board know me. They know I have never flamed or brought shit like this to the board. One of the board Mods Wizard was with me and felt like shit that I and some others from this board were left high and dry standing for hours waiting around for no reason.

Goodbye links.

Tells everyone else here how much you can be trusted. You and that Lou Diamond Philips looking guy were the meanest, snottiest, people I have ever meet in this biz.

Scorescash = Broken promises

webair 12-18-2002 06:00 PM

That's ok suesheboy, Webair.com will throw a party that will be worth coming to NY for alone if scores cash does not follow through, which i'm sure they will.

NYC!

deniska 12-18-2002 06:26 PM

Everyone who went out with our crew during the last event had a great time. So the next party should be even better. We are going to be drinking goose like its H20 =)

I'm excited they're having an event in my hometown, but that's very steep. Why not just break it up where people can find their own rooms (and for those of us who don't need rooms) and have a price just for tickets to the seminars/parties?

Where were you during out last little webmaster gathering in NYC? The Webmaster Party thingy??

I was looking forward to seein ya and I was left out in the cold!

Kiko_Wu 12-18-2002 10:25 PM

It sounds like fun but I can't really see it offering anything that I would be inclined to pay to go participate in. Online info is usually as good as the seminars and strip clubs, parties etc. are good for the guys but a little tedious for the girls (Oh boy I can pay to have guys talk down to me and try and grab my ass).

i've never seen a woman degraded at a show....not once....

and any ass grabbing was purely consentual

I have to disagree with you there, meeting people you do and wish to do business with in person can be very beneficial and in general everyone is very respectful. There are occasional assholes but they are easily avoided.

Zebra 12-18-2002 11:58 PM

Is there going to be a seperate price for just the show if you make your own room reservations and travel arrangements? $1495 is kinda high, even with the room. Why not make the show free and have sponsors pay for the party? Any big hotel will comp you meeting space if you sell enough rooms. If there is not a low price for just the actual show then this thing is not going to get a very big turnout IMHO..

tfone 12-19-2002 12:20 AM

Fuck Yeah, I'll show you guys how we party NYC style my old turf...

My exact sentiments, all the seminars are the same stuff rehashed ten ways from centre. To me these shows are about networking , and taking pics of course !

That page looks like Expo built, all inclusive airline ticket room, food, bla bla bla packages.
How much does it cost to get a badge to get it.

Turboface 01-02-2003 11:35 AM

There's going to have to be some options here.

Not everyone is going to want to pay the full amount for the 'package'.

Some people live in NYC and are not going to want to stay at the Hotel there.

:2 cents:

Zebra 01-02-2003 11:51 AM

Yeah, how much for just the badge?
