AntiVirus Live Trojan
 

Anyone every get infected with this? I've spent the last hour removing it from my other PC. I seem to have got rid of it but now my windows firewall reset and won't reconize my norton properly. Anyone ever experience this and is this normal? Aside from that everything seems to be running fine, and norton is running ok.

I had one on, I always surf with a condom on, ya never know what to expect. Next time I guess I'll double bag it.

Norton is a waste of money, get Avast for free and forget about viruses.

Let me guess, you wear a condom while surfing so it won't get wet. I should know, I wear one when jogging in the rain. :winkwink:

Kaspersky should make swift work of it. Get yourself a free trail version and decide upon buying it later on. Nothing gets past it and I've yet to encounter a virus it can't break, even ones I got with McAfee, Nod32, Avast, Norton and a few others.

I would have gotten it yesterday but Microsoft Security Essentials detected it and removed it.

Got one yesterday too. Must be a new exploit out there.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials ... it's free. And it has 57 billion dollars behind it so I gotta assume it's a little good. It's quick, easy, and ... well ... I like it :) I haven't had any issues with viruses.

For the Apple enthusiasts, you should know that it's not 100% secure to own any system. Mac has malware too.

Ccleaner, its free, easy to use and you will never need any other program...

Norton is a piece of shit that intentially gives you virus' so it can try to remove it and act like a hero when it occasionally does so you will pay to upgrade or buy it.

That, while I agree Norton sucks a massive pile of shit, is an incredibly paranoid view! lol. Still, I do agree with the sentiment of Norton sucking. :)
