Anyone getting traffic or money made on .info domains?

Ok, realize .com domains get a large % of the traffic, but do many people get traffic or $$ off their .info domains? Godaddy running another sale on them but even at a buck, is it worth it?

Not in along time..I say don't invest in them. any domain guru will tell you the same.. worthless

for a straight domain flip... don't bother

That depends on the traffic source. Surfers don't care about the extension once they are there.

.info domains - never tried them.

Antonio 12-30-2009 02:32 PM

I had two info domains with granny content that were on page one on Google for quite some time making me $1000 or so per month

I also still have 100-200 developed info domains that I keep renewing - all of them low traffic, but as long as they are profitable I'll keep them

infos are good for any mass-scale autoblogging, or that kind of projects - buy 500 at $2-3 a piece, do your autoblogging, when expiration time comes see which ones of them are getting hits, renew them and discard the rest

for any serious site or domain flipping, stick to coms

btw I have like 6 or so one word infos and I was hoping that I could sell them for good amount of $$$ - don't think it’s ever gonna happen, but I'll keep them anyway

i am letting around 100 expire, not worth anything, only good for a traffic network or blogs. One one .info's are worth something.

stick to a .com even if it needs to be a three word domain...since many good two word domains are also gone.

What niche domains are you looking for?

I have a couple of info domains. Well, they earn more then they cost:)

you can get them to rank just fine if you put good SEO strategies behind them, but you won't get type in traffic... And you won't build a brand. IMO

I see guys all the time saying that they are shit, but I have to disagree with all of them. I have close to 25 .info domain names and each one is listed in Google & Yahoo. It takes a bit more work, but with the right SE skills you can get them listed at a pretty good position. I mainly buy them to target a direct word or phrase. All of them are for ticket sales and are about 3-4 pages total on each site. Traffic wise they convert just as good as a .com I own. Surfers don't really care about whats at the of the domain name. So if you want to get them listed then read up on your SE tricks and you'll make some good coin.

any domain accept a .ws can get listed, but I have a ton of .com's so for me it just makes sense to work on developing a .com, .net, or .org instead of the less popular domains. I also have 4 .jp domains....and they are freaking too expensive.

if you want to buy and sell them, dont bother. but you can throw traffic and links at any .tld and get sales.

u-Bob 12-30-2009 04:54 PM

got tons of them....
