pthumb filling up tmp/ directory issues.

I recently moved a few blogs over to a dedicated and they are dying everyday after the 'tmp' directory is full of pthumb* files.

I did not have this issue on the sites premove, but am unsure if they had been purging the tmp file themselves daily with some command.

Anyone have any experience with pthumb filling up the tmp folder?

Is /tmp on a separate partition on the new server? It's possible it's just not big enough.

I believe it is, and it is 2gb, I asked about increasing it but we've opted to write a cronjob to purge it every X hrs to get me past tomorrow night when this Christmas hubbub is all done.

The themes all use it to autogenerate thumbnails used on root pages and sidebars, and for whatever reason its not deleting the tmp files when it creates/caches them (im assuming). The tmp is filling up with those tmp images.

(wow hubbub doesn't throw off spell check..lol)
