Ive always said that the difference between Democrats and Republicans is, the Democrats will lie straight to your face, the Republicans will lie behind your back. In the end the US political system needs a serious enema. Term limits in Congress now!

Term limits would help, but the real issue is campaign financing. Unless it is changed so each candidate gets a certain dollar value for their election run from the government, nothing will ever improve in politics.

Make it illegal to take contributions from anyone private or public other than the pre-determined federal dollars, and so much corruption does out the door. You will still have some elected that will do back door deals to setup their private lives when they leave public service, but a great deal of the nonsense will go away.

However to get that to happen you need congress to do it, and well you guessed it, won't ever happen.

Well, I dunno, which would you prefer? Volume 1, 2, or 3?

I voted for Obama. I thought, like most Americans thought, he was bringing change. We were all wrong.

The difference between you and me is, I am a real warrior. That means real life, not online. I'll tell you something else, we will lose Iraq and Afghanistan, just how we lost Vietnam. We'll also lose Iran when we go to war with them. There is one simple reason why, and that is, you can not defeat someone who is highly motived to defend their own land. Yes, you may temporary beat them, but not long term. For some reason, we are unable to learn this lesson. Or maybe we have and we go for other reasons, like to rebuild them. Lots of money there.
