EBT copyright problems???

I just received this a few seconds ago :

"I would like to say im joking but Im not. I just recieved a cease and decist letter from the lawyers of the Hershey's corperation demanding immediate removal of any graphics resembling there trademarks. I have done in my best efforts a hack job and changed the graphics to fix this problem temporarily on the tour pages of EBT. I ask that all affiliates promoting EBT to immediatly remove all graphics that resemble or are associated with the Hershey's logo and trademarks. New graphics will be made shortly for you to use. If any affliates continue to use the old logos and graphics that resemble and associate with Hershey's Corperation I will be forced to co operate with Hershey's lawyers and provide them with direct contact with you to see that you have also complied with there requests.

I thank you for all your hard work, time and support you have given EBT so lets keep it going and get over this bull$%*@

P.S any questions please email me at [email out]

This email is logged for proof of delivery to all associated webmasters promoting EBT. "

So this means what ???

This industry is sometimes real weird...

you should edit out his email address...just for common courtesy

edit: the c&d was for the chocolate bar at the top of the site and not any stolen content

Done...

And thanks for the pointer concerning the bar, since the email wasn't very detailed concerning what content may be involved in this.

Have a good night! =)

The point which i'm wondering the most about :
Are affiliates directly responsible for legal mistakes made by their sponsors ? Or not ?

Who does ask his sponsors knowadays if they have license for this and that? That's a bit confusing.

of course they are but of course it's the affiliate's duty to let their webmasters know whats legit and whats not legit. I'm sure since the graphic will be changed it won't affect people too much I hope but since he is offering a new graphic soon most people will hold tight
