Currency watchers - is it a good time to convert US$ to AUS$?
Looks like the AUS$ is weakening again against the US$: http://www.exchange-rates.org/history/USD/AUD/G/180
I want to close an offshore account and bring in some savings to Australia. Is now a good time or should I wait a bit more to see how much it drops? |

I need to bring it in to Australia, in Australian dollars. I am not speculating, I want the $ in my hands!

Bring back the days of the aussie $0.60AUD and lower.
We don't know how these puckers come up with their figures, been watching this page for a while and god we hope they are wrong. They forecast the AUD to stay in the low to mid $0.90's to July 2010. Might be a little "We Speculate You Decide" type of forecast. Over the last few years they have been all over the place. http://www.forecasts.org/ausd.htm :Oh crap Where abouts in Aus are you CunningStunt? |
I'm an hour south of Sydney. It's god's country down here! How about yourself?
Yes, when I started this game it was around the 0.60 mark. It's alarming just how much the US fucked themselves up economy wise, and the knock on is my income has effectively dropped by about 40%, just on currency shifts alone. It's a big kick in the nads during tough times. |
An hour south of Sydney sounds like a good place to be this time of year. We are a few hours west of Townsville in Nth Qld, hot as puck here today 36+ and signs of rain this sarv.
Yes i hear you on the US economy, here's to better days in 2010. |
I only know one thing:
More money = better |
