Euthanasia should be legal.

Seriously.

fatfoo 12-20-2009 08:51 PM

I decided not to kill myself and I will not do any suicide attempts.

Suicide is a sin, anyway.

Euthanasia is legal in Washington (I looked it up).

Mutt 12-20-2009 08:55 PM

i agree - it's ridiculous that it's not. prolonging a life that is no longer worth living with no real hope of reversal is barbaric, fuck 'let nature take its course', nature is a cold hearted mean bitch. and fuck religious kooks.

it is now legal in Washington state.

With all that rain they had to give people something to do I guess.

dav3 12-20-2009 08:59 PM

Agreed .

ShellyCrash 12-20-2009 09:03 PM

I always wished Kevorkian wasnt such a wack job. I really do agree with the "right to die". Even though it's illegal, if you want to do it bad enough you will find a way.

goldfish 12-20-2009 09:10 PM

Euthunasia happens every day in every hospital. Why do you think they have terminal patients not in pain on morphine, it surpresses the respiratory system, and when your weak already it doesn't take much more than the normal dose.

blonda80 12-20-2009 11:45 PM

here we don`t need euthunasia. the medical services are so bad that it is very very easy to die everywhere. also, you don`t need to ask euthunasia, you just need to go to the hospital and ask for treatment ... you will get it fast lol

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 12-20-2009 11:47 PM

Agreed...

It is legal in Oregon also.

dalila 12-21-2009 02:49 AM

i'm 100% agree with you

POed-poster 12-21-2009 03:02 AM

I completely agree. Just another roadblock put up by the religious right who want to deny us the right to end our lives with dignity if we choose to do so because they interpret some stupid passage in some 2000 year old outdated racist fantasy comic book to mean that their god forbids suicide, and because their god is also our god, we must SUMMIT.

Women CAN'T have abortions
Terminally ill people in AGONY CAN'T legally take their own lives
People convicted of a capital crime get killed whether they like it or not

One thing consistent about the far right. They want to take freedom away from the individual and put it in the hands of the fucking church. FUCK 'EM ALL in the ass with a very thorny stick!

digifan 12-21-2009 03:47 AM

+1 vote for euthanasia.

Sarah_Jayne 12-21-2009 04:19 AM

Pretty much agree.

tranza 12-21-2009 08:26 AM

I agree with you..

it actually is and it happens much more often than you think. as a silent agreement between patient, doctor and nurses.

A good doctor would do it, it is a matter of to be or not to be human.

The sad is that when at the medical school they are told to keep the patient alive at any cost, dignity=ZERO.

I remember some years ago a woman that was in bed for about 30 years, she could only move her head and talk, no fucking dignity, and all she was asking was euthanasia.
Even without any fisical pain she was tired of living 30 fucking years depending of others for simple things like to drink a glass of water.

Years later she died... so much suffering for nothing.

Word. I had a friend who died of cancer and suffered for 6 years before dieing. After 2 years she was so drudged she had practically no control over her body and didn't remember me, her friends or herself, after 3 her own children...

BlackCrayon 12-21-2009 10:47 AM

it would be too easily abused.

From a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine;

"It found that about 30 percent of Medicare dollars are spent during the last year of life, and half of that is spent during the last 60 days. In 2009 dollars, Dr. Gordon calculated, that amounts to $70 billion a year, much of it spent on futile care that prolongs suffering."

I wonder if the government would force citizens to join a "do not kill" list?

Iron Fist 12-21-2009 11:37 AM

I know more than all of you put together... but I can't post any of it because I might get in trouble.

LOL.
