That movie is a very intense bad trip.

And the subject was about everything in our society is "addiction" more than drugs = evil.

I want to see this one but people keep telling me it is depressing and to make sure I don't watch it when I am down. Just so happens that whenever it comes on tv it is a bad day or there is some other reason not to want to be depressed.

I recently watched Donnie Darko...another *wtf* movie

watch it.. it isn't half as disturbing as people say it is. I've said it a few times.. and I don't mean to harp on but I was really unaffected by it except the mother's bits which were cool and a little more an area that needed exploration.. plus the bit where they were found to be heroin users and they got put in jail wtf was that?

If you really want to see a disturbing movie see "Happiness" and then come back and say requiem was disturbing.. requiem was a lot of style over substance.. you never really felt any empathy and it didn't work because of it.

it IS a fucked up movie, and it might set someone straight, but its not as bad of a movie as everyone told me, but i still liked it alot

Requiem was one of the few movies that ever got me misty-eyed...especially Ellen Burstyn...fuck Julia Roberts, Ellen Burstyn should have won best actress...

Only saw the end...just from those scenes, that movie is fucked up, but I would like to see it in its entirety.

Oh, I love 'out there' movies so I am sure I will appreciate it. Still think Being John Malkovich is the best mental mind fuck of a movie for years.
